Im just asking but..does Aslan represent God? Do Lucy and edmund represent angels of his army, and does the white witch represent temptation/the devil?..i just had to ask because fantasy action thriller stuff aside..it kinda seems like that..I especially got that from the first one.Aslan coming from the dead and all after he was sacrificed.

@00pauli11, I HATE it when scenes in the trailers are not in the actual movie. the least the film-makers can do is to put the scenes on Blu-Ray & DVD with commentary explaining why the scenes were cut from the film. don't know if that's the case with this movie.

The Islands in the west, where Aslan comes from, where his father, the Emperor, lives is more like heaven. Jadis, the White Witch was his father's prosecutor (referenced in the book, "The Magician's Nephew") which is literaly what Satan "the accuser" means.

Why the white witch is back when she never shows up in the book, and the appearance of Susan and Peter (in Narnia may I add) is completely insane, and all the combat? I've just finished grade 12 so finally got time to continue reading the nania series. Currently read the lion the bitch and the wardrobe, the macicians nephew, the horse and his boy and currently reading prince caspian. The wardrobe one isnt overly different from the first film but I have only read maybe half of caspian and its already so much different to the movie. But it is probably the worst written book ive read in the series. The horse and his boy was brilliant.
@guchi345 IT means I now have freetime, which I have not had in the last 9 months which means I have time to read the books. If you couldnt work that out then maybe you should stick to goosebumps novels.

LOL - Tilda Swinton was by far the BEST and GREATEST actress who played the White Witch/Queen Jadis. And, I definitely agree with you, they should definitely make another movie. And I think "The Magician's Nephew" which is the first book of the Chronicles of Narnia would work the BEST since it actually delves DEEPER into Queen Jadis, how she destroyed Charn (her last kingdom) and conquered Narnia!
I love the Narnia films.. They're so magical!! A different type of magic from Harry Potter (which is just my favorite movie). I nearly cried at the beginning of the trailer when Peter wasn't in it (even though he is vein) but then I saw him at the end!! Can't wait to see it!!! :D
When I was a boy, my 4th grade teacher read to me the entire Narnia series. I have loved it ever since and now that I'm grown up, I just love these movies...

People need to chill about how the movie's sooo different looking than the book...First we haven't even seen the movie yet so we don't know what's different and what's not. Second about the white witch being in it, we can't say for positive that she totally not involved in the book. Yes she's not mentioned but we don't know what Edmund's nightmare was so it's possible that it could have been becoming what he once was which is what it looks like they did in the movie.. I'm reading the book right now, and so far I see nothing wrong with the movie with what's in the trailer (assuming the white witch is just a nightmare). Either way, the Narnia movies have been mostly faithful to the books and are a good representation of what the books are like. It helps that the books are somewhere around half the size of the Harry Potter books, which means more of the content can be fit into the books more accurately....
can't stop coming back to this video to listen to the soundtrack - i just looove it! i understand that movies have a different pace, but the appearance and rejection of certain characters is crucial to the story! the witch, susan and peter should not be there, no excuses! $ is the main goal and the value of the story is often forgotten, sadly. nevertheless, i will not miss this movie! i have been waiting for it so impatiently now. caspian's such a cutie too! def can't miss that sight ;)
You guys need to realize that a movie will never be made exactly like a book! Never ever has it happened! Not even Peter Jackson could do it and he created a MASTERPIECE with the LOTR. Movies have different pacing than books so you have to change some things. C.S. Lewis is my favorite author but the movies are created differently than how he or any of his readers would imagine it to be. Obviously because someone else is directing it with their own vision!
For those of you who complain about movies not being true to books need to realize that books do not follow the same pacing as movies do! There has never been a movie made that didn't follow the book to a T except for the LOTR trilogy. Even then Peter Jackson had to take things out. Everyone's imagination is more elaberate than a film. So don't see the movie if you don't want it spoiled for you! I am a HUGE CS Lewis fan so I understand! But I also know that movies have to be different than books
It is so awesome that movies are still being made that will bring glory to the Lord and the message that the of the forces of good ("GOD") win the victory over evil (satan), which is the truth and the good news. I pray that this movie will be a hit at the box office, but even more so... lost soul's will receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior this Christmas... HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!
Please relax. We haven't seen the movie yet. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian were wonderful movies. They both stuck very closely to the book, and the things that were different, it made sense to further dramatize in a film. With "Dawn Treader," we're seeing Peter & Susan and the White Witch, but I am imagining they are there as memories. This movie will be great! I love all of the BOOKS. CS Lewis was a genius!!!

TO ALL: This is book is one of the most compact ones in the whole series. They move from place to place so fast and they always seem to be moving. As a director this is an extremely hard jobs to fit this all into a movie. Instead of saying what is wrong with it look at all the good things about it. You all so desperately wanted the movie to come out and yet you are criticizing it when you haven't even seen it. The books will always be around to look at what really happens in the dawn treader....

People need to chill about how the movie's sooo different looking than the book...First we haven't even seen the movie yet so we don't know what's different and what's not. Second about the white witch being in it, we can't say for positive that she totally not involved in the book. Yes she's not mentioned but we don't know what Edmund's nightmare was so it's possible that it could have been becoming what he once was which is what it looks like they did in the movie.. I personally can't wait!!!!

@Livin4God93 The white witch is in it, but she is just an Illusion Lucy and Edmond imagine when they are in the "cave" looking for a way out while everyone's "worst nightmares" come true and kinda materialize even though its not real..

@Livin4God93 This is something I completely agree with. I'm reading the book right now, and so far I see nothing wrong with the movie with what's in the trailer (assuming the white witch is just a nightmare). Either way, the Narnia movies have been mostly faithful to the books and are a good representation of what the books are like. It helps that the books are somewhere around half the size of the Harry Potter books, which means more of the content can be fit into the books more accurately....

can't stop coming back to this video to listen to the soundtrack - i just looove it! i understand that movies have a different pace, but the appearance and rejection of certain characters is crucial to the story! the witch, susan and peter should not be there, no excuses! $ is the main goal and the value of the story is often forgotten, sadly. nevertheless, i will not miss this movie! i have been waiting for it so impatiently now. caspian's such a cutie too! def can't miss that sight ;)

You guys need to realize that a movie will never be made exactly like a book! Never ever has it happened! Not even Peter Jackson could do it and he created a MASTERPIECE with the LOTR. Movies have different pacing than books so you have to change some things. C.S. Lewis is my favorite author but the movies are created differently than how he or any of his readers would imagine it to be. Obviously because someone else is directing it with their own vision!

For those of you who complain about movies not being true to books need to realize that books do not follow the same pacing as movies do! There has never been a movie made that didn't follow the book to a T except for the LOTR trilogy. Even then Peter Jackson had to take things out. Everyone's imagination is more elaberate than a film. So don't see the movie if you don't want it spoiled for you! I am a HUGE CS Lewis fan so I understand! But I also know that movies have to be different than books

It is so awesome that movies are still being made that will bring glory to the Lord and the message that the of the forces of good ("GOD") win the victory over evil (satan), which is the truth and the good news. I pray that this movie will be a hit at the box office, but even more so... lost soul's will receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior this Christmas... HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!

Dear Fans,
Please relax. We haven't seen the movie yet. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and Prince Caspian were wonderful movies. They both stuck very closely to the book, and the things that were different, it made sense to further dramatize in a film. With "Dawn Treader," we're seeing Peter & Susan and the White Witch, but I am imagining they are there as memories. This movie will be great! I love all of the BOOKS. CS Lewis was a genius!!!

TO ALL: This is book is one of the most compact ones in the whole series. They move from place to place so fast and they always seem to be moving. As a director this is an extremely hard jobs to fit this all into a movie. Instead of saying what is wrong with it look at all the good things about it. You all so desperately wanted the movie to come out and yet you are criticizing it when you haven't even seen it. The books will always be around to look at what really happens in the dawn treader....
