I first heard Buffalo Blues as a B-side to a Neneh Cherry cassingle (those old enough will remember what those were) in 1989.

Whole heartedly agree! I have the cassette single as well and it was the only song I played. I had heard it first on an AM radio station. Hard song to find anywhere.
