  • This is one very "possible" video. =p

  • Like I've said before - sooner or later they all come home to the blues! Welcome home, Cyndi! Great job! Thanks so much for posting.

(0f course, having Charlie on harp didn't hurt her.)

  • Damn Right, First heard this song on "Blue on Blonde" By the lovely Angela Strehli, of Texas Bluse fame. Ya gotta check that one out fellow Bluezers. Angela sang with the late Great Stevie Ray at Carnegie in '84 on Stevies Birthday. Cyndi is brilliant here. Again, Damn Right I got the Blues!

  • Little Walter covered this, the original being a Buddy Johnson & His Orchestra song.

  • Who cares about Trump? That's a real singer!

  • Trump's face before the 'Rosie O'd' was classic!

  • i love cyndi!!!!! :D when this was on the Celebrity Apprentice me and my mom where sitting there just loving it that they had her sing :) like mother like daughter :) we both love cyndi

  • Hah!, Thats an interesting combination! Love it!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • OMG!

    Perverted man to 1:50

  • one of Little walter's best songs. Nice to see that people still listen to and cover his classics

  • I love this Cyndi!

  • i looooooove herrrr sooooo muchhh!!!!! shes the best evvver

  • It's a fucking SHUFFLE!! Play it right!!! It's a shuffle!!! Can the drummer even play a blues shuffle? God I hate it when rock and rollers obliterate blues shuffles by playing them with a straight beat. She and band would sound hella better of they played it as a shuffle.

  • @Tremolux59 what exactly is the difference between a straight feel and a shuffle on drums? I not questioning your judgement im sure your right, i just cant really tell how this would be played any different if it was a blues drummer back there.

  • @chalftits The best way to provide an example of a "blues shuffle" beat on the drums is an audio example. Right here on u-toob is the best place for that. This song was originally done by Little Walter. Search for it and hear the original with your own ears.

To describe it, imagine a straight beat with the drum hits coming at regular intervals, like: H...H...H...H...H etc. A shuffle has the drum hits coming in pairs, like: HH...HH...HH...HH...HH and so forth.

  • @chalftits Another popular song which is not blues but is a shuffle, is Don't Stop by Fleetwood Mac. Probably doesn't hurt that the first incarnation of Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green was very much a blues band.

Blues shuffles are fun to play and fun to dance to. It's a very driving beat. There are a few forms of shuffles, double-shuffles and backwards-shuffles. The back shuffle sounds like a flat tire rolling down the road. Ker plop....ker plop....ker plop....ker plop. Have fun!

  • Closely listen to an Inception dvd made before the January 8th Tucson shooting, especially during the dialogue, "Do It."

  • A dire poco... SUPERBO!!!...

    @BEPPE

  • This is just FANTASTIC!!!!! She certainly has the blues

  • Thanks for sending me this great vid....Peace...Jake

I wanna see ya here in Goiania. We´ll have many those barbecues!

Take care girl and hurry up!

    Beijos!

  • I have this CD. it's an awesome CD it's a a great CD for any blues liver. she seems like she loves the blues more than anything else she had done. Johny Lang plays on her CD as well as some other greats. I also think she has aged very well. she is still a very pretty lady. thank you for showing the world her true colors. no pun intended.

  • @thebluesrockers I've bought the album today !!! Crossroads is a MUST LISTEN !

  • FANTASTIC!!!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

  • Nice, sounds very good!!! PBO

  • Awesome!! thanks for the share:)

    Grandma Mary

  • This is so BLUES !!!

    Super job !

  • haha i give her cred 4 attempting new genre but i still want the old poppy cyndi back like the 80s days

  • Her voice is weak for blues

  • Never seen this before - EXCELLENT.

How good would she sound doing Elvis's Reconsider baby or Hard Luck..with Charie McCoy thrown in, I liked this thanks for posting.

  • @195477 ...Just so you know (if interested), Cyndi recently did a remake of Elvis's Blue Christmas.

  • Man... Cyndi ROCKS!

  • junk

  • ok if you like cyndi..... but realy dont kid yourself this would be better without her singing seriously the whole memphis blues cd i find her singing rather annoying...she should stick to what she does best bubblegum pop and she is best remembered to as an answer to an 80s music/wrestling question.

  • @rashneesh I totally disagree with you. I bought her CD Memphis Blues and I LOVE the CD. I find her amazing. She is always trying new things.........check out her CD where she is singing the Etta James tune "At Last".......I played that for so many people and none of them thought she could do that song!..Their loss! I love her because she never plays it safe............sticking to "Bubble Gum" would be doing just that!!!

  • @rashneesh because you should never try to expand past what you were 20+ years ago right?

  • @ikcinbaz just caused you TRY to do something different doesnt mean you are good at it! im glad she is EXpanding but she just doesnt cut it as a blues singer. and although this is just my opinion she tries way too hard to the point that it is just plain embarrassing kinda like yoko ono TRYing to playing with world class musicians. those poor poor musicians i dont blame them for taking the money but if you dont think my opinion holds any weight then just look at the same songs by someone else

  • @rashneesh touche`

  • Wonderful. The new album is perfect, this is our Cyndi. Back to Brazil with this show

  • Cyndi does it again.....I love the new Blues Album. I'll be seeing Cyndi in Toronto on July 3rd........can't wait!!!!!

  • She's having the best moment of his life, I'm glad she hasn't dropped into the cracks, like many "singers" of this generation, and that she's following his heart, and that's all that matters! I love knowing that she leaves a good legacy for those who love her, and that his son can feel very proud of the woman who is his mother, she never fell for the pressure, and was able to maintain its integrity, something that few can say in this industry! Thanks, Cyndi Lauper, we love you!

  • OK SO THERE FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT THINK SHE WAS JUST A FLASH IN THE PAN! tHIS IS THE REAL DEAL...!

  • I love this song. Memphis blues album is going to be very special.

    Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yea Charlie...much better than Cyndi

  • I admire Cyndi so much, such a great performance! I'm surprised that no one has talked about her subtle lyrical jab at Donald when she got on the table and sang, "...calling Rosie 'O D, you're such a fool" while pointing her finger at him. I think Ivanka was quick to get the hint but Donald perhaps was either too caught up with the moment or he graciously took it :-)

  • @patrng408 Yeah, i thought people were going to talk about next day, maybe no many people got it when She sang on the table to Thrump " With Rosie OD and mess with you" then pointed her finger to his face.

  • i did realize bret was pretending to snap cyndi's ass hahahaahah omg. well even though im straigh woman i have to admit cyndi is hot... our girl rocksss.. look at trump's face , he was droolin all over the place when cyn stepped on the table hehehee

  • Such a strong performance from Cyndi - like most real professional singers - this sounds better live! Love it - expected more views - but que sera sera.

  • She is still one of the best singer/songwriters out there! What a great career! Love everything she does!

  • At 1:51 Bret pretends nip the Cyndi's ass. Was so funny!

    Wacht!

  • Trump's expression at 1:57 says it all - sheer admiration! Just a great performance

  • Leroy Hodges on bass and Howard Grimes on drums, of Hi Rhythm fame, with Charlie Musselwhite on harp and Skip Pitts ("Shaft") on guitar.

  • yay go cyn!

  • NICE CYNDI!!!

  • MUY BUENOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! cada vez más hermosa y su voz mejora año a año....como siempre la UNICA....

  • que música irada... dá vontade de dançar, cantar junto eheh
