yes. udad dall is a lintel also called black gram, which actually looks ivory in color as sold in shops, because they are sold after being decorticated; you get either split black gram or whole round black gram; whole black gram is used for making idlis, and dosas and vadas etc. while split is used in these kinds of powders; and dhania ( aka coriander ) is the dried fruits of coriander ( "cilantro " in usa ) plants and is a common spice; hope this clarifies ? cheers ! :-)

Have not heard of yangai powder ! sambhar powder yes. But i guess this is a little different from the sambhar powder..
