EXACTLY and who wouldn't? Seeing the photos of abu ghraib prisoners being tortured has probably inspired many to join the terrorist movement. How could you not want to stand up and fight against that? I am sure that the photos that are not being released thus far from Gitmo are just as bad and possibly even worse. Although I think all involved should be prosecuted for war crimes. I certainly understand why Obama has chosen not to release the photos as they would be a threat to our security.

I'm sure there are a few innocent detainees. It's just like work, when someone gets caught doing something wrong/stupid, the whole company is punished (ie internet abuse, smoking, horseplay, etc.). If you don't want to be arrested, don't associate with possible terrorists.

I watched both Cheney and Obama speak today and the media analysis that followed the two, now I realize why Republicans have won so many elections before the last few years. Republicans along with the media are trying to give black and white interpretations to something that requires more nuance than saying we are good and they are bad. The cases would be thrown anyway, even if there were legitimate evidence against them, because their rights have been violated six ways from Sunday.
