When I close my eyes and just listen to judith and the boys, it takes me back to the 1960s' when the timeswere innocent and listening to great music was always enrichment and unforgetable, as in the Seeker !! Great Group, Great Music and Judith, of course!
@deepthreat .......Go to this youtube title here and see how beautiful she was in her day ......The Seekers - I'll Never find another you .........If you look half as vile as your character and personality you`d better become nocturnal ( thats to come out only at night as you are probably too dumb to understand words like that ). For a woman of nearly 70 years old she is incredible and has achieved incredible things. You deepthreat are a nonentity ( A person regarded as being of no importance)
Simply mesmerizing! This is the day the music died. This woman and this group is not getting the recognition it deserves. Some of the best music that ever was. ThankYou, John E. Bowman N.Y./ Ky.
I'm sure Bruce and Keith appreciated being introduced as "Judith, Athol, and the rest of the guys..." WRONG! The beauty of the Seekers is their democratic structure, notwithstanding the extraordinary, luminscent Ms. Durham...
Really? I thought it was 1997 because of the semi transperent logo in the corner (which was from the early days of Channel 5). I'm sorry I got it wrong. But The Seekers' last UK tour was in 2000 so that would make sense.
My mum & dad loved this band and played them all the time when I was a child. As a result, whenever I hear them I'm back in London in the late 1960's, walks in the autumn & holidays in Devon. I can almost taste it. It's her voice, I guess, amazing..
Fantastic! Her voice sounds the same as 40 years ago. I was a young men then and listening to her and Jim Reeves was only reason to live and to hope for the future in those gloomy and sad sixtieths in my country. Poland thanks her.
WOW! Please bring back those days! What gorgeous voices...what fantastic harmony! These melodies are masterpieces. Thank you, Judith and guys. You will always rock!
Yes, I love their sound and this wistful song to pieces! To sound as good as this after 35 years is an amazing feat in itself. But it's actually quite surprising to know that the melody is the Russian traditional 'Stenka Razin'! See watch?v=UIIvFgNAwO4
.... it's actually a really grim song. Can you imagine a Cossack drowning his bride in the Volga to prove his manliness, because his army comrades believe his marriage has turned him into a sissy?! I prefer this lyric ;-)
Being born in 1961 I was brought up on The Seekers and watching and listening to this perfect rendition, sung as though it was still 1965 has brought many memories of my younger years flooding back with the associated tears, both bitter and sweet, many thanks to The Seekers for them all. As someone else so rightly stated The Carnival will never be over.
You know you have lived a blessed life when for so many years you have brought so much joy and happiness to so many... Thank you Seekers for so many years of beautiful music ..... Your beautiful songs and voices will live on forever.....
Many of todays so called diva's would do well to watch this performance by Judith.... so understated.
I wonder how many of todays current crop will be embarking on 'farewell' tours in 36 years time..... Too busy counting the money from their 'best of' albums after having 2 singles in the charts.
God bless you Judith and chaps... The carnival will never be over...
Fantastic vocal performance as always, from a true star. Voice ringing like a bell, all those years on (believe 1993?). The guys as always, backing her beautifully
Sounds like this performance is played in the key of C, whereas the original is in D. I'm no singer, but does it get harder over time to hit the high notes?
Merci,Judy et les 3 'Seekers', pour tout ce que vous nous apportez depuis 1964...et ça continue. Judith, you're "The 'Voice' of Australia": a pure gem.
Guy Atholl est toujours aussi grand de taille: sa double-bass impressionnante le confirme!

Right now it is only a guess.
