  • I can't stop laughing at the size of his shirt!!!! XD

  • Why wouldn't you factor the other (x^+1)?

  • Factoring is a pain in the ass for me, so this is a real question, not me being sarcastic.

  • why does the x^2 +1 get factored out only once why does the other one right after the x^2 stay the same?

  • where does the -1 come from

  • DIS IS SUM DOOKIE

  • @lilbadboy114 I know!!!!! We CAN do that these days! When are we going to adapt to the 21st century ha?! Our govt needs to step it up!

  • why do we have to go to school n try to learn math why not just go on youtube

  • uhhh what?

  • why wear XXL dress shirt?

  • this makes my math class look like a joke

  • how would i do xsquared minus y squared

  • His look at 1:40 " Now what bitch."

  • This is TOO HARD to understand shoots ... I explain it CLEARER

  • Love these videos, good for math refresh! I don't know why people think factoring much less algebra in general is useless. This is stuff every engineer, physicist, and technician needs for their career. Algebra is the loophole math for most complex math.

  • @MoneyfreeSociety

I think the word you are looking for is gateway.

I completely agree. Algebra is absolutely essential when you need to do more complex calculations that include unknown values or "constants". One can stick to drawing little math diagrams and models to try to solve a problem... Until one day the problem includes numbers that run into the thousands.

  • hell ya nigga

  • i used to love math til NOW.. I hate it

  • What's The GCF of that shirt? LOL

  • Now I understand how to factor but still don't know the real-world uses of factoring.

  • @ThomasBHofSoCal you will never use factoring in the real world, factoring is more of a pshycological lesson than a math one

  • @ThomasBHofSoCal algebra is used in science for chimical&phisycal equation

  • i was hungry when i watched this video.. after watching... my mouth was open and my tuna sandwich untouched...

  • You're not helping at all if you give us an equation this easy ._. .

  • EASY actually, before i watch it.. lol

  • Boring voice but that guy knows his shit.

  • thats like the only math teracher that doesnt put a scary face on after every lesson

  • I recommend this excellent Math channel: ( Mathmatchpoint ) to everyone who wants to become good at Math. He is going to teach you Math the EASY WAY, from the basic to the advanced topics. The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let others know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

    Go to his channel: Mathmatchpoint

Math will become easy to understand (yes)

  • If you want to become good at Math visit my channel ( Mathmatchpoint ) In my videos I'm going to teach you Math the “EASY WAY”. I'll teach you all Math topics; from the basic to the advanced topics. You can watch my Math videos in order by clicking on Playlists.

Math is easy if you have a good teacher.

  • He helped me a lot...... but he's so boring!

  • if my math teacher's voice was that boring, I would never stay awake....wow.

  • this is easy...i searched for advanced Factoring Polynomials because in my high school EVERYTHING IS ADVANCED...everything is superhard! I WISH I LIVE IN AMERICA BECAUSE IN THERE I WOULD BE A GENIOUS TO THESE GUYS

  • so tempting to stop there... hahah im just playing this is so helpful thanks man :)

  • This guy is so cool.

  • :] this helps a lot!

  • Thx for help

  • he teaches very well, but i hope that he is a little more involved and less dead sounding if/when he teaches in real life.

  • We're now learning this in Year Nine/Ninth Grade (Age 14). Lool. What happened to GCSE/CSE/O Levels being taken when you are 16/17 years old?!

  • This man is trying to be helpful and is doing all of us dumbfucks a favor. Perhaps you should be concerned more with the content of these lessons than personal appearances. Sometimes, we're all at a loss in our sense of fashion some days. It may just be that his is more prolonged than average, but I'm sure He'll pull through (if we all pitched in with suggestions, of course....LOWER YOUR SIZE A LEVEL!!)

Great shirt-size jokes though. "Stealthvsion" is a good one.

  • great video

  • wats were did u get all does number from!

  • yes, he is wearing a circus tent of a shirt, but it was a good and helpful video

@uralegent987 8th grade honors does this crap? I'm in college and that makes me feel stupid :(

  • You're a great teacher, why not use those great math skills of yours to figure out what size shirt to wear?

  • You're a great teacher, why not use those great math skills of yours to figure out what size shirt to wear?

  • Could your shirt be any bigger?

  • that is rude, emily! lol :)

  • thats what i was thinking. haha

  • I am in 8th grade honors and this video really helps. thnx

  • lol, me too

  • why does he only factor the last bracket again and not the first on the (x^2+1)

  • because the first one isn't the difference of two squares, you see there isn't a minus sign between the two terms so therefore it is not the difference of two squares and therefore you can't follow the process of that specific factoring

  • @SecondChanceRomance Because it's not a difference of square therefore it cannot be factored again. Basically the sign has to be negative to be able to factor it.

  • why, when a GCF of x^2 is pulled out of x^2, it becomes 1? shouldn't it become 0? e.g.:

    2=x

    2^2=4

    4-4=0 (i pulled out a x^2, which in this case is 4)

  • @tennisgator123 In front of every X there is a 1 they simply dont place it there since it is a law, therefor placing it would violate the law although it is acceptable by some teachers.

  • this make no sense to me hha

  • I love this guy. I have seriously been using his videos to study for a math test tomorrow and it's been so much more helpful than scrutinizing my book like I've done at multiple times during this chapter. I'm not suggesting that math books are useless, but these videos have made things so clear, simple, and calm. Thank you!

  • this math teacher is cold! Excellent and simple!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know but I don't know why you would want to. the purpose of factoring like what he is showing is to "find zero's" for graphing in calculus. mean, if you have a factor x^2(x-1)=0, the values x=0 and x=1 make the whole product zero, and that tells you where the graph touches the x-axis.

  • UGHHHHHHH

  • Here's a question, I'm completely stumped...

    2*x^2 + x^(-1) -3 = 0

    simplifies to

    x^2+x-(.5)=0

The second equation being a quadratic and easily solvable.. I have noooo idea how to simplify the first to get the second... anyone have a clue?

  • Hello frundeatt66, I am here to help you with a question which you posted approximately 2 months ago.

    The equation you posed was 2x^2 + x^(-1) - 3 = 0. Apparently, you had trouble simplifying it to a 2nd equation.

Well, I worked on the problem and there is no way the 1st can be simplified to the 2nd. However, you can solve for x in the 1st by following these simple steps.

    1. Simplify the middle term using the law of indices. The equation simplifies to:

    2x^2 + 1/x + 3 = 0

  • Haha, you can actually simplify that equation. I've gotten so many comments saying you can't do it. You can though. You multiply through by x, then solve the third degree poly using synthetic division (or difference of cubes formula, I don't remember).

    :-)

  • It's cos he's reaching up at the board to write. It's pulling his shirt out.

  • i've been trying to understand my algebra teacher for the whole year, and this makes so much more sense now!!! thank you!

  • what if you have this

    x^3 +6x^2 +20x+24

  • You will have to use the Cubic equation/formula to solve that

  • thank you! (:

  • That's a mighty big shirt he's wearing.

  • @NitekMuscle well he needs a disguise to hide his huge penis

  • lol fuck school imma just watch this shit

  • anytime i tried to love math, math still hates me :p lol

  • I agree with you.

  • Me too :P XD

  • @kudaidude Amen to that Brotha! lol

  • omg... you make it look so much simpler and easier than my teacher does. She freakin' confuses me. You speak a little dully but you're great!

  • can any1 tell me that why it was x raise to the power 2 and in bracket it was x raise to the power 4 like this x^(x^4 - 1) why?

  • cuz he pulled out a x^2 so its (x^4-1). if u multiply x^2 to (x^4-1) then it becomes x^6-x^2

  • I have math finals tomorrow...........I hope this helps!

  • Waa? :D

  • great my friend....

  • thanks just b4 math final
