@foodie65 I belong to the one true Church, owe allegiance to no denomination and am in thrall to no man. I am captivated by God's WORD alone and subject only to Christ. I have sought only to honour the LORD & His WORD so that He might receive all the glory. At every turn you seem to want to give such to man and/or his institutions.
This is not our forum. The only reason I felt to reply in the first place is that individual eternal destinies lie in being right with God according to His WORD.
@foodie65 Not surprised at your response. Does say she shall be called blessed but you avoided the 'virgin' bit. Thought those 2 bodies were supposed to be interested in God's Truth." To the law & to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them." Isa 8:20. Also, what are you going to do with Jael? Judges 5:24 "Blessed above women shall Jael ...be." My only desire is that folks should be led to the Truth according to God's WORD.
@pops6479 The Anglican church is not fundamentalist and believes in a balance of scripture and tradition through the apostolic church. But they are not alone in honouring Mary: To quote from the protestant reformers "In choosing Mary, God granted her the greatest honour (John Calvin) , "The more the love of Christ increases among men, so the esteem given to Mary should grow" (Zwingli). So you see the Anglican and RC churches are not alone in honouring Mary. What church do you belong to?
This is so devotional. The joy is that it is a hymn which focuses on THE LORD and HIS WORD. It is a lovely rendition - the best I have heard. Praise God for this posting.
@pops6479 This hymn is actually based on the Magnificat - the song of the Blessed Virgin Mary - which is receited in Evensong in the Anglican Church - and Vespers in the Roman Catholic tradition.
@foodie65 Thanks for your comment. I would not want to give any credence to either the RC or Anglican communions as they are not subject to the Scriptures in faithfulness. 'The Magnificat' is alien to God's WORD. This hymn is based on the words of Luke1:46-55 declared by Mary. Forget the 'Blessed Virgin' bit. Scripture clearly records that she had many other children thereafter (by Joseph). Scripture Truth is all that matters.
@pops6479 Thanks for your reply but Luke's words do say "All generations will call me Blessed"
"Scripture truth is all that matters" in your humble opinion. Forgive me if I choose to ignore your opinion rather than the 1billion Roman Catholics, and 75 million Anglicans who believe otherwise.
Just Beautifull!

Very very nice. Constructive criticism at 2:03 the word should be "Of" not "If" Thanks

Quite a few capitals missed, too - a lot of his that should be His.
