This is so sad. Animal cruelty does indeed happen everywhere. The human race is disgusting. My wish for Russia would be to have the government ban this cruel practice of dancing bears and circuses, where many of these bears and other wild animals are mistreated. That would be a big step in the right direction and would set example to other countries who have dancing bears. So very sad. Such beautiful creatures and so miserable at the hands of humans. Did they really use to sell baby bears in pet stores back in the olden days? If I saw a bear cub in a pet shop I would by it, but I would be real nice to it. I wouldn't make it dance or nothing, I would play with it and feed it honey all day .

Sure, the bear isnt having a nice time. But lets face it, people are far more abused and in much larger numbers than any animal. Napalm in Vietnam, Serbs living on Kosovo, NATO's "Humanitarian Bombing" ( Trust me about that one, I sat through it in a basement.) Then we have slavery, the Jews under Hitler, Serbs under the Croatian "Ustashe", and let us not forget the many African countries, in which people die of starvation and diseases daily... So people who can, sure help the animals I dont mind, but while you were helping animals, someone was getting hit with irradiated and cluster bombs, both prohibited by international law. I'm glad that Russia can see through the evils of the past and now condemn the acts of violence towards animals. It is a great shame to see the way these bears were treated, but at the same time, I am sure most russians (as any other country) have people intelligent enough to realize that animal cruelty is wrong. Thank you for this historical video. Very educational vintage video. I just heard stories about bears in Europe. It is difficult seeing such cute animals in pain. People need to know the truth as this is like a "Holocaust" for these cute animals.
