I'm Malaysian but I've been living in the states for 5 years. This video makes me miss Malaysia even more. Great video bro. Promote Malaysian food! :DD
each state in malaysia have their special menu n specialties in food..u go to different part u can taste different food..u shud hop here again someday.its kinda interest me to see a foreigner enjoyed malaysian food that much, becos most of em just cant take the odd bcos they r not used to.one of my foreign friend thought that eating by hand is gross.so from 1-10,how much u rate our food? =) i traveled quite alot too,n to me,malaysian food is fresh, clean and healthy..
@thie2009 I'd say 9, there's not much food that I like better than Malaysian food. I also think that Malaysian food is fresh, clean and overall quite healthy (not everything of course). I am American, but I grew up in Africa, so I've been eating with my hands most of my life and I think food just tastes better from your fingers. I'm a big fan of Malaysian food and when I can return, I'll eat (and video) a lot more! Thanks for watching!
i'm a malaysian, studying abroad. after watching this video plus the priceless expression on his face while he was eating, i straightaway call my mom and asked " Ma, ma make gapo arini?"
i'm craving for nasi lemak and ikan bakar and curry puff.. can't wait to be back in malaysia.. watching u eat all those food is really a torture!! damn hungry right now..
@migrationology its actually a traditional sauce made from fish.. it is popular in Kelantan, east coast of malaysia. you should try mate. its awesome!
@migrationology Cool, it's rare to see foreigner can eat that fruit. Most of them just like hate it so much because of its smell and 'onion-like' taste. Anyway, good on ya mate
Thank you for your videos. They are great, interesting and convey the details we expect from the tv presenter. It raises up the interest. Tell me please if you know the reason why Indonesian and Malaysian food is so over-fried and tends to be far from the original taste as it floats in curry most of the time. That makes Thai food preferable for me. I like both Malaysia and Indonesia but I had not had a dish I d like to taste again (except kasawa and plain vegetables) Oleg from Siberia
@oteplyakov Yah, Indonesian food and Malaysian food can be a little on the oily side - not sure why, but that's just normally the way they cook it. Thanks for the comment and for watching my videos!
@oteplyakov It is not that oily if compared to American fast food and when the server dishes out the curry sauce or any sauce, they usually make sure they scoop out the sauce and not the oil for you. if you are health conscious, go for any chinese soup based dish or workout when you get back home. :P
Oh man food looks awesome! The red & orange red sauces on the fish dishes is called sambal made with onions, chilli, shrimp paste & lemongrass pounded to a paste. The nasi lemak chilli sauce has sugar or palm sugar added to it. You use your fingers to eat love it!:) Mark you should do a segment on Nonya kueh. Have delicious fun researching that!:)
Thanks for letting people know how wonderful our food is :) There's many many more places to eat at , hoping to see you make more on other foods here !
LOL Mr watching u eating grilled fish is heaven. Glad u can handle the sambal :D
