I see th problem when animals gets involved in science or the entertainment business and arent treated well. But i dont see how hunting and fishing is animal cruelty ?

I agree animal cruelty is wrong, but everyone being vegan is NOT the answer at all...neither are the extremely strict regulations that most PETA supporters try to impose on farming and breeding opperations. There is a happy middle ground where farmers make a profit, which involves not taking every animal to the vet for a regular checkup...it's too expensive when you have a herd of 120+ cows...also, it is highly unnecessary, even our vet says so (yes we DO use a vet when necessary...)
all i have to say to this is if people didn't eat meat, soon there would be too many animals for this planet to sustain...most animals can have at least 1 offspring per year, most of the smaller animals (raccoonsetc.) reproduce at a far greater rate...that more than doubles the number of animals on this planet every year...if people don't eat meat, or hunt animals like deer, or trap raccoons for the fur...you would soon be run out of your home and off the roads by the number of animals out there

It should be understood that animal welfare is high priority in livestock production. From an economic standpoint, producers would lose money if they purposely harmed animals. Bruised meat is low-quality and stressed animals have poor growth and poor quality meat. No one enters production unless they like animals, since they have to deal with them on a daily basis.

Poultry litter is probably the closest to living in it's own shit, but litter is turned over after every group. I'm an Animal Science major, so my labs are in the university barns. Albeit, they're government property, so they are more closely watched than the private sector. However, one bad barn doesn't make them all bad. Profit drives every business, and animals in good condition are profit.

Preslaughter stress ruins meat by causing an increase in methemoglobin in the body. Methemoglobin causes dark-cutting meat, which significantly decreases the quality grade and devalues the meat. The cows milk is for their calves but instead humans drink it. The calves get sold to the meat industry and get slaughtered. Therefore even if you don't eat meat you still contribute to animal cruelty.

the sport of hunting is necessary to keep the populations of such animals under control. if everybody stopped hunting deer there would be an population explosion and many of them would starve. so hunting is the complete opposite of animal cruelty.

Not eating meat is cruel for my stomach and health. I think it's sad, but I tried vegeterian diet and personaly it's not working really great. I feel better when I incorporate meats once in a while. It also seems to be what nutrition experts are saying.
As for the practices of the industry, I agree that some of them are disgusting. It's better if you take care of your own cattle, go to the lake fish your supper yourself, rather than buy the craps from the supermarket.

I agree animal cruelty is wrong, but everyone being vegan is NOT the answer at all...neither are the extremely strict regulations that most PETA supporters try to impose on farming and breeding opperations. There is a happy middle ground where farmers make a profit, which involves not taking every animal to the vet for a regular checkup...it's too expensive when you have a herd of 120+ cows...also, it is highly unnecessary, even our vet says so (yes we DO use a vet when necessary...)

It should be understood that animal welfare is high priority in livestock production. From an economic standpoint, producers would lose money if they purposely harmed animals. Bruised meat is low-quality and stressed animals have poor growth and poor quality meat. No one enters production unless they like animals, since they have to deal with them on a daily basis.

Poultry litter is probably the closest to living in it's own shit, but litter is turned over after every group. "It's cheaper to feed them antibiotics" sounds like antibiotics are a mistreatment, and I know that's not your intention. I'm not sure why you put normal in quotations, what are you implying?

Preslaughter stress ruins meat by causing an increase in methemoglobin in the body. Methemoglobin causes dark-cutting meat, which significantly decreases the quality grade and devalues the meat. As for keeping inputs low, that's simply the goal of every business.

I neither defend nor condemn confinement livestock; they are an entity that has been adapted with the increase in population coinciding with a decrease in suppliers. Feeding animal protein is very efficient because animal cells are more concentrated in available amino acids than plants are capable.

Those animals are as poorly treated as those in this video.
The cows milk is for their calves but instead humans drink it. The calves get sold to the meat industry and get slaughtered. Therefore even if you don't eat meat you still contribute to animal cruelty.
It wouldn't explode because the calves would drink it.
Even if you wouldn't "hurt" the animals I still don't think we should treat them as our personal slaves.

the sport of hunting is necessary to keep the populations of such animals under control. if everybody stopped hunting deer there would be an population explosion and many of them would starve. so hunting is the complete opposite of animal cruelty.

I agree with your video about animal abuse but i don't think becoming a vegan is the answer.
The first aspect is that if we all became vegans there would still be hunters. The ones that like to hunt for sport and there would still be animal cruelty. Yes it would shorten the numbers of animals but it would still be there.
Another thing i would like to mention is that plants are also living things. It doesn't have organs but they do grow and live.

Not eating meat is cruel for my stomach and health. I think it's sad, but I tried vegeterian diet and personaly it's not working really great. I feel better when I incorporate meats once in a while. It also seems to be what nutrition experts are saying.
As for the practices of the industry, I agree that some of them are disgusting. It's better if you take care of your own cattle, go to the lake fish your supper yourself, rather than buy the craps from the supermarket.
