In recent times, this is the best knock played at WACA along with the 153* by Viv Richards against Lillee, Thomson, Hogg and Pascoe in 1980. I am very eager to see both the innings on YouTube. Would be grateful if someone uploads them!

@Imrankniazi viv hit a beautiful hundred at WACA but it was against hogg, hughes and steve waugh. but that takes nothing away from it. it was a sheer masterclass. you can look up at the video from robelinda1 collection.

The one you are talking about must be the 146 in Perth in 1988/89. That wasn't a great knock, IMHO for the attack wasn't of the highest quality.

He i hit a stroke filled 177 in a WSC supertest for a world team against aus team.But it does not really qualify as Perth as it was hit in gloucester park and not WACA with a drop in pitch use. And the pac bowlers were Lillee Gilmour and Walker. Pascoe and Hogg may have missed for injury. And thommo was in the official team, he could join in wi leg after a fav court rul

Pakistan have no reason to be Jealous. They have produced great bastmen. Perhaps not as good as Sachin but good enough to provide all round strength. Great bowlers, good batsmen. This helped Pakistan to dominate cricket for short periods years ago. Only West Indies and Australia dominated longer. India nowhere to be seen that regard
