  • Best Gold City line up!!!! Love this video!!!!!

  • love your songs..... Linda Silver... from Grand Prairie, Texas.

  • Best Gold City lineup ever!!!

  • A bit of trivia: the piano on this video is a Bosendorfer Imperial. It's got an extra octave in the lower register. Makes for some incredibly powerful chords!

  • is that Gary Jones on the piano?? If not, when did he join??

  • lol...never mind! I just read the description... THIS was the best Gold City in my opinion...maybe becuase it was what I grew up with?? But, I love the combination here!! On another note, Ivan Parker is one of THE most genuine people I have ever met!! Truly a classy guy!

  • @tgreer72

Oh yeah that's Jones. He is arguably the best pianist EVER in southern gospel. He PRODUCED all of the Gold City albums during their heyday. That's also John Noski on drums -- one of the best drummers ever in the biz, gospel, country, jazz, you name it.

  • Tim Riley is the BEST bass singer in Gospel music!

  • good song

  • The Best Gold City ever!! One of the best groups ever!!!

  • One of the greatest quartets to ever grace a stage!

  • The best line-up Gold City ever had.

  • CAN YOU SAY MULLET?

  • I'm busy saying "perm" (on brian)

  • LOL! The eighties were a cruel joke.

  • This is the best group combination ever in Southern Gospel Music!

  • Is Brian Free standing on the right

side of Ivan ??? Sorry for asking -

I know many names but not all the

    faces you see.

  • yes, Brian, then Ivan, Mike and Tim...

  • sorry...NO, that's Mike...Brian is on the left end...

  • i agree george is the best then tim r. and brian is the best ever next to danny funderburk.

  • I would agree that Brian Free is the best tenor to ever sing in Southern Gospel Music; but I don't think Danny is second. I would rate as follows: 1. Brian Free, 2. Ernie Haase, 3. Jay Parrack (if he would have kept singing), 4. Danny Funderurk, 5. Kirk Talley

  • Let's not forget Jay's father, Johnny Parrack. One of the best ever!

  • I agree totally!! Brian is the best ever tenor!!!

  • AHH! Mr. Tim Riley. Aside from Mr. Jeff Chapmen ,formely bass of The Anchorman,is the greatest bass to have held a microphone!!!!!!!!

  • Jeff is now with the Kingdom Heirs, and he is GREAT ! But here is the list...1. George Younce 2. Tim Riley 3. Jeff Chapman

    God Bless

  • You can't put Jeff in front of Tim. There's no match for Tim.

  • awesome, glad I got to see this thanks for posting!

  • To listen to how Brian Free has turned into the GREATEST tenor ever is awesome. He is truely a blessing to all who listen and have listened to Southern Gospel over the past 25 years.

  • Great to see this video. Good to see the groups long ago. Share some more with us askinsda. Thanks for posting. Happy New Year.
