What I like most about this clip is Madarame's subtle hint toward the end that Saki's attraction to Kohsaka is not so different from being attracted to an animated character (which, on a meta level, is of course exactly what it is, but fourth walls are expensive, so let's not break this one).

Even as early as this, the common ground that would later allow Madarame and Saki to become friends, and more than that in the minds of many fans, was being prepared. Very nice storytelling.

That said, Madarame is hilarious. And is voiced by Hiyama Nobuyuki, which makes him DOUBLE awesome.
