  • This is the only song I dislike on TT.

But it's still my favourite album!

  • Putting this out there for thought:

Wowee Zowee= Beatles "White Album": Creative mish-mash, unbelievably interesting

Terror T= Abbey Road: Well produced, clean, beautiful

  • I don't know about anyone els but Terror Twilight is a really good fucking album. I am a huge Pavement fan and I think pretty much all of march I couldn't stop listen to Terror Twilight theres so many good songs on it. It also be very interesting if Pavement put out a new album could you imagine what there sound would be like now if they wrote new stuff?

  • Terror Twilight is very different from other Pavement albums. I hated it at first but after a while I learned to love it just like the others. Like someone else said, its still not favorite but it is criminally underrated. Every track is great.

I used to feel the same about The Hexx too but the one on the record is amazing in a different way. Maybe the record was overproduced but as you can see in the live versions with all the same effects, its how they wanted it, not necessarily Nigel.

  • this is so boring o watch...

  • Their last album was mediocre by pavement standards,(from which this is taken)3 tracks stood out, spit on a stranger, the hexx and carrot rope. However the other four records are all brilliant.

  • what about major leagues/ann, don't cry/speak, see, remember or Billie.

    Those are good songs too.

But agree that the other records were superior...

  • terror twilight is my favorite album, it's just different. i think it was less collaborative, like malkmus took creative control on that record and the band was kind of falling apart...makes sense to me, since his debut with the jicks has a lot in common with the last album with pavement.

  • Terror Twilight is the equal to anything they've done. It was the only album I did not like upon first listen, but boy did it grow on me. Ann Don't Cry, Billie, Speak See Remember, Folk Jam - these are very rich, glorious songs.

  • I agree. I was working in an 'indier than thou" record store when it came out and dismissed it for many years. Then I got interested, and it's been on heavy rotation for a long time now. It's not my favorite, but it's got some of their most interesting and cool stuff. You can feel the tension in the band all over the record, too.

  • To be honest, I think Nigel Godrich bollocksed the album up with his limp-dicked production. Check out the fucking 7" version of the Hexx, you cunts, if you can stand to ROCK.

  • hahaha, yes. for those who are a bout to ROCK, we salute you!

    fuck off man

  • Fuck you, douchebag. In no way did I disparage the records or the songs. I merely insisted that Nigel Godrich was a bad choice for producer, you dick.

  • @mrl0p3z

The version of The Hexx on Terror Twilight might be the most beautiful thing Pavement ever did. Nigel helped the album sound unique.

  • yeah, if you don't recognize speak see remember as pure song writing genius then you are seriously amiss.

  • yes
