I have one... Lovely for the price, You can get a nice edge on it with some skill and the right tools... The handle may crack if used heavily in very cold conditions as it becomes brittle in the cold.

I notice this weapon isn't as angled as a traditional kukri, I have a napalese Ghurka kukri and the angle in the blade is much sharper and less flowing

Just spray some WD-40 on the area where the sticker was.. and the sticky residue will rub off with no problem!

It's a brilliant choice for "survival", as it is very lightweight, very effective in chopping and incredibly durable.

It won't fail youb in the field, I'm sure of that.

It's no collectible, it's a damned workhorse to be thrashed upon, resharpened and further thrashed upon.

Maybe an even better choice of steel for a workhorse machete, it's a bit softer than 1095 and therefore a bit tougher still.

Though a machete made from 1095 could be just awesome when it comes to long time performance...

Do Not take Steel wool to the blade. Buy A bottle of Hoppes #9 Gun Solvent. (Walmart carrys it) It takes it right off. Thats what I used to get my Label off the Blade.

-It does go farther than 3/4 of the handle. Tang ends just below the surface of the very rear of the hilt. Which follows the definition of full being full length of the grip.

-It is just below the surface on all sides(~2mm) as you follow the grip down. So the width is there too.

It's full tang. Encapsulated full tang to be precise. Modern techniques changed the term a bit.

A bit of constructive criticism; do a little more research on the nomenclature and anatomy of the knife (i.e. It has a 13"long, 2.75mm thick 1055 Carbon Steel blade fininshed in a proprietary "black, baked-on, anti-rust" coating.The handle is made of Polypropolene and it weighs... )you get the picture.

It's not that the kukri isnt sharp, it's just that the geometry doesnt "feel" sharp. Because it's not really designed for slicing and slashing, but for chopping and splitting. And daredevil22 is an ass.
