It's an interactive media, after all. Good stories are most important in movies. When you have a great story in a crappy format you tend to ignore it, or more often, not knowing it, cause you can't advance in the game without good gameplay

Wow... These Symphonic Fantasy people? They just re enacted basically.. My childhood gaming. The best games ever pulled into one huge symphony, oh, how I wish I was there. The Mana series, great story line and game play. Chrono Trigger.. Wow. No other story line can compare. Music and controls and graphics goes to Final Fantasy, I guess. Some of them had awesome story lines, too. Really, who composed this? I have got to know.

@PrinceOF9Imagination It's not that many of them, there are orchestras with far bigger string section ;) It generally improves the tone quality. You know how a single solo violin sounds. 8 of them in choir sound quite different though. The tone is completely new if you have 12, 16, etc... So the big string section actually makes it possible for the orchestra to use more and different "colours" with their music.

final fantasy X was a much better story and game then Final Fantasy VII, I don't know why everyone goes ga ga over VII, yes it was like no other in 97 but X was just fantastic

@cdubmeyer X is my favourite game in the series, closely followed by VII and VIII. A little bit further down I'd place IV and XIII (yes, I dare to admit that I enjoyed this game despite its flaws). That would be my top 5. But apart from XIV, I wouldn't say any of the games were technically bad. The latter ones are just different and you can't please everyone. However, I think both XII and XIII would have made a better impression on many people had Uematsu composed their soundtracks.

@cdubmeyer I know you didn't. I was just making a comment in general. I think a lot of people are quick to say things like "XIII sucks!!! Worst game ever!". I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations. We won't ever get another VII. That's a good thing. They shouldn't repeat themselves (IV-VI and VII-IX were basically palette swaps on a larger scale). If you really want to play what most people would consider a bad game, go get Charlie's Angels for the Gamecube ;)

story- if you just wanted story, read a book or watch a movie. keeping a good story makes the game more interesting but gameplay is paramount.

graphics- this comes after gameplay and story, so it doesn't really matter if music is ahead of this or vise-versa.

music- most people appreciate the musical score after everything else so it's prob the least important but pretty important too.

@Sadet1991 I would put Gameplay 1st, then Controles 2nd, with a story line, music and graphics very close to the 3rd, since there are game genres where the story line isn't that important, such as fighting games, for example, or maybe simulation and sports games.

But yeah, people keep worrying themselves too much about graphics. Some of the best games I've ever played had crappy graphics, even for their time, Final Fantasy titles included.
