Nano fabrication and intelligent systems will create these designs rapidly.
Most of engineering for these buildings will be available in the 2030s but it will take to the 2050s for full scale change to have occurred.
All our classic building are not going to disappear they will remain. Also nano technologies will allow us to put new skins on our current building to take them up to contemporary standards of efficiency.
The people who believe this nonsense are the same people that are going to throw themselves from a bridge in 2012... Grow up, if you want to live to 2060.
i don´t think the cities will be like this...it will must be very green,or will not have enouth oxigen to brethe, thats because the number of population will raise exponentially in the next 50 years...think about this.....
if you think about it, people will still be wondering what its like in the future. i think we stop thinking about the future and worry about right now. it is us who determine what the future will be. but its still cool to wonder though
it's definitely something to imagine...2060, if you really think about it, our cities will look very much the same as they do today. the advancement in technology has been very huge compared to where we were 110 years ago. we went from a horse carriage to puttin man on the moon within that hundred years. we don't have flying cars, and everything isnt made out of chrome, but believe it or not, we are living in the future right now. 2011 is the future, but 2060 won't be that much different
@gameface094 ,are you from future ? If you are so you definitely right but if you are present tense,so change your view unless you won't be the part of this 2060 World.
an idiotic fantasy of liberal minds, what we will have is war and massive ghettos filled with people who have no future, because the light of civilization was carried by the Dying White flame.
Look back 30 years ago at London or something, it looks pretty similar to how it does now, a few new buildings, but still totally recognisable. Add another 30 years and I think it will look almost exacly the same. In 50 I doubt much would have changed.
floating city in air how about a city that can be built over the middle of the ocean.a city built of heavy duty armor that can with sand all that mother nature can deliver
Watch a dictator take control of everything when technology gets to a certain level and all of you technology obsessed people will attempt to flee the country....
@predan14 I could do better than the pathetic scientists who think a future should look like this. And machines and computers wouldn't control the world because that type of government won't work....properly.
Lol! Nothing would change in India for that matter even round the world, what u see today will still remain to the long future too. Get the shit off it first - the political, social corruption. Get the pollution n population down then we can think of buildings, cars n techno. Get some greenery around u r ass first to get the fire down morons.
But ultimately anything can happen, its all speculation but fun to use the imagination and project possibilities, just don't get too caught up in the daydreams, afterall we are living yesturyears future, its good to enjoy what we have already.
Historic architecture is beautiful, yeah, I can see some of this happening in moderation but a great deal of people are happy with the way things are. Exceptions for industrial cities or new cities that have more flexibility to modernise. Yeah, it can go any which way but I believe its likely a lot of what is best today will be largely maintained. Central cities will likely get very futuristic, or skyline areas as that may be seperate to a historic centre.
its impossible, religion is preventing technology to advance, this will wont even happen, there will not be much changes, only that our buildings gets older
Funny how so many people commenting on this act so smart as if they'd have any clue what the year 2060 would look like. Hahahahahaha. Stop pretending you're smart and just enjoy the video.
Technology evolves exponentially, which means we will have the same development in technology as we have seen in the past 20,000 years. The evolvement of technology in the 21st century will be 1000x bigger than in the 20th century.
I wouldn't be surprised if some technology like in this clip is invented but I agree with a good bit of the comments that it would be some time before we see cities that modern. Technology will always evolve, it improves every second believe it or not. Google (and I think maybe others) have a neat video that explains exponents... I think that might interest a lot of people. Technology improves exponentially. Seems only yesterday that the iPhone came out. Now look at all the touch screen devices.
Dehli will probably not look like that even in a million years.
Plus you've taken concept art from others and compiled it in a single video and just whacked indian cities on there. I'd like to see some artwork by indian designers.
India should set more achieveable targets, like giving itself x amount of years to remove beggers and slums, then it start working on a good infrastructure and maintaining it, perhaps then it can start working on aesthetics.
when was your last visited to india....India has largest slum and have beggers on the road but it doesn't mean India don't have strong infrasructure,,Visit in Delhi and look around it..we have world class metro rail ,max.flyovers..good roads and preparing for common wealth and worldcup 2011.
lol i dont think so. it doesent take years to build a building, makes roads, yet flying cars are defenitly an automatic no no, for the fact of a easy 911 reinactment could break out.
ya know it doesn't look much different than today. think about it, everything we have, all the technology, cell phones, cars, running water, tv's, xboxs. all of this and people feel busier and feel more stressout than in days gone by when life was simple. The more we try to achieve the less we communicate with others in real-time which is what we were made to do.
sort of strange how that turned out, isn't it? Technology originally was supposed to get people out from doing mundane jobs with vacuum cleaners, washing machines, computers, etc. Ideally, the thought was that people would have free time to better society. That didn't really work out that way.
@rianpop One of the oldest human longing is the longing for perfection. We'll never be tired using more and more machines until we became the machine itself. It's evolution happening right in front of our eyes!
@rianpop I hope you do realize that it's just an illusion that life was better in the past. We were much more primitive, brutal, violent towards eachother.
lol, this reminds me of how people in the early 1900's thought that people in the year 2000 would be living on Mars and working on Saturn, and yet we aren't so much different than them today. This technology looks like something from the year 2200 minimum.
the Singularity will have happened or be close to happening by 2060. You are a good artist, but be a little more creative and far thinking. Nanotech will change the game in ways we can't imagine.
Wow that was pretty cool. You know I've always thought that 2060 was so far off and that I might not survive but knowing how old I'll be in 2060 it dosent seem that far away actually, I'll only be 65 and I might even survive until the 22nd century, hopefully I mean I'll be 105 but you na.

Combined nano medicines and stem cell tech will allow for healthy living for elderly people.
Stem cell treatments at present is revolutionizing pet care treatments. Dogs are being cured of arthritis and liver function problems at present.
