If, like you said, Asians are fine with the way the Americans do their thing, while Americans aren't fine with the the way Asians do their thing (did I get that right?), it just shows that Aericans don't have much sympathy for other cultures - I would even say they are often afraid and intolerant and intrusively try to impose their ways on others.

Just based on the comments, I'd say the best alternative is to trim. (Whoever said that pubic hair provide warm places for lice and bacteria, do you not take a shower and clean down there? Rather it slows down germs from getting into vagina even if it provides places for the germs) I understand people shave for aesthetic reasons, so do I.
