this is a very sad story rip beautiful creature that touched so many lives. when i was younger i saw ahorse that was going downhill and he keps falling and rolling. the woman did so much to try and "save" him but th eone thing he needed was for to let him go! it took him falling in th efield and suffering until he wasnt breathing right and had colick so bad he bled for her to put him down. you did what you could and made the horse comfortable before you felt you had to put her down!!!

Im very sorry to here what happened to your Gracie, i can only imagine what it must feel like. I remember when we had to put my cat down it was devistating. I am happy however with how you handeled the situation, many people wouldent have went through the trouble you did for gracie. What im trying to say is that Im glad you thought selflessly instead of selfishly. You put gracie out of her misery instead of keeping her around for yourself as long as you could. I am so sorry to hear about your Horse. Although I have never owned a horse, I have had other pets that I loved dearly and had to say goodbye to earlier than expected. One of my cats was killed by stray dogs, and her sister later died of Feline AIDS. It's never easy to say goodbye. What is important is that you loved them for the short time you shared with them. I am sure Gracie knew that, and will be waiting on the other side for you. God Bless.

I'm sorry this happened to you & your horse. My horse & I had a scary trailer accident last year, I was terrified. I can't imagine where I'd be today if I lost him. Its apparent that you loved Gracie and that you too worked beautifully together. She was a smooth jumper and had sweet transitions. Ignore the people saying you abused her, they weren't there and none of them knows what really happened. Just remember Gracie knows you loved her.

@aaelwy I've never met a horse that didn't poop in the trailer during a drive and it is *IMPOSSIBLE* to clean it out thoroughly with the horse still in the trailer. If you have any better ideas, I'm sure we'd all like to hear them.

The description talks about how not hit did they do everything they could to get her up, taking many hours, but the horse rescue crew took more than an hour to get there. They had a great relationship and there was nothing she could have done to help her other than why she did. The horse was down for 6 hours, giving her tons of time for a few pictures of her horse, invade there the last. Shut up and learn something about horses

So i di i went through the human side door on the trailer .. & when i was saw what happened , i BURST out in fucking tears screaming , bc her head was above the chest bar (C)

I ran back to the truck and told him what was going on ... he jumped out , i kalled my mom who was away at horse camp.. & Donnie(moms bf ) opened all the doors & tried to keep her calm . she kept thrashing and trying to get up but STRUGGLED & she ended up cutting herself even more from the trailer.(c)

I was told to call the police so they could help with the scene... a random stranger then pulled up who owns one of the most expensive nicest barn ever, suggested an idea ... To rap car rope around her front in & tie it to the truck and slowly roll her out . The rope had padding on(c)

We got her a nice fan to keep dehydrated . Gave her water , Put umbrella over her ... EVERYTHING , SO i'm definetly eligble to own a horse honey . fuck off if you don't like what you see .
Bless you for trying as hard as you could for Gracie... I took the time to read the rest of her story on your website and I admire you for trying so hard for your mare. Most people would have just called it quits when the vet said the meds were $720 a month with no guarantees. Also - kudos for making the call to have her euthanized, saving her any more pain and suffering. We need more people who will go through these measures for there horses and not just send them to slaughter. -.-

I am really sorry to hear about your beautiful horse. I just got done watching the video. I lost my horse, filly, around April of 2010, she taught me a lot. Gracie looked like a wonderful horse, who loved to be out there jumping with you.

You did everything in your power to help by lugging heavy mats some people would not have thought of in a very stressful situation. I'm so sorry you lost him. And it was not your fault.
@MirandaRights008 Seriously. Accidents happen, and horses tend to not do well in stressful situations like this regardless of training or how people try to help; it is not automatically the owner's fault. It sucks, but that's part of a life with horses.

@CheyZenaxx i only took a few of the photos , the vet took some of them , we had about 4 vets out there , & 3 of them were operatng her , & they had a new vet in training , and my mother let her use our camera , for most of the picturs .

I am so sorry to hear about your Horse. Although I have never owned a horse, I have had other pets that I loved dearly and had to say goodbye to earlier than expected. One of my cats was killed by stray dogs, and her sister later died of Feline AIDS. It's never easy to say goodbye. What is important is that you loved them for the short time you shared with them. I am sure Gracie knew that, and will be waiting on the other side for you. God Bless.

I'm sorry this happened to you & your horse. My horse & I had a scary trailer accident last year, I was terrified. I can't imagine where I'd be today if I lost him. Its apparent that you loved Gracie and that you too worked beautifully together. She was a smooth jumper and had sweet transitions. Ignore the people saying you abused her, they weren't there and none of them knows what really happened. Just remember Gracie knows you loved her.

The description talks about how not hit did they do everything they could to get her up, taking many hours, but the horse rescue crew took more than an hour to get there. They had a great relationship and there was nothing she could have done to help her other than why she did. The horse was down for 6 hours, giving her tons of time for a few pictures of her horse, invade there the last. Shut up and learn something about horses

Most people would have just called it quits when the vet said the meds were $720 a month with no guarantees. Also - kudos for making the call to have her euthanized, saving her any more pain and suffering. I am really sorry to hear about your beautiful horse. I just got done watching the video. I lost my horse, filly, around April of 2010, she taught me a lot. Gracie looked like a wonderful horse, who loved to be out there jumping with you.
