I have passed almost 12 years with flute but i wanted to learn the art of playing flute very smoothly, like when i move from one note to another it gives little jerk. So therefore My dear sir i want you advise in order to improve it

  • @floydianab Whatever size you can play comfortably. I am not Bengali so unfortunately I am deprived of the richness of Rabindra Sangeet.

  • Thank you for the lessons! Can you please tell me what the name of this song?

  • @near2ariel There are several songs in the medley.

  • Sir, Iam just a beginner. Iam trying to get Raga Yaman Kalyan(Shyam bajaye aaj muralia By Pt. BhimSen Joshi) through my flute. But I don't understand to play the full notes which I have with me. Can you please upload the video so that we can play that tune in flute. If you want to refer the notes which I have with me then give me your mail address, I will send it to you. The document which I have also contains the notes of some other ragas.

  • @ni2says Please post them as a personal message. I will take a look.

  • Very nice particularly the second song, Suhanee Raat Dhal Chuki.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • thank you very much. keep posting more videos like this

  • Of course. Thanks.

  • I am very glad to receive your email. Thank you for your prompt reply and advise. Yes, it is very important to learn one song very well before going to the next song.

  • thank you very very much for posting the learning videos.

Can you please tell us the finguring of old indian songs e.g. DIL hai k manta nahi, woh dil kahan se laon, raam karai aaisa ho jai, hai apna dil tu awara...etc etc

I'll highly appreciate, as I live in Canada and in my localitythere is no one available to teach me indian bansuri. The only source is your lessons. And I love bansuri.

    Thanks & regards,

    Shariq

  • None of these songs I have played before, but no problem. I will try the basic notes today and insha allah post them this week. sojha41 wanted some songs too and then another learner in Delaware wanted some basic lessons. I intend to post them all. Do remember, not all songs sound nice on bansuri. Also, my recommendation is to learn one song really well before moving to the next one.

  • Dada, Thank you so much! Learning from your video now I can play Suhani ... not just that but i just picked up Karvatein Badalte Rahe.. not ready to share yet but I think in few days or may be in few weeks lol.. I will be able to play. Please add more easy songs for us.

  • Very nice! I can play pretty much anything I hear and so will you in a little time. Some of the newer songs sound pretty good from what little time I have spent on them. Try Jiya Dharak Dharak Jaye. I will post it when I set up my camera next time.

  • nice work. but please add ornaments?

  • Moon saheb, I heard your Kishna dhun a long while back. Very well done!

It would be wonderful if you can share some basic alaps with notes.

  • thank you very much for reposting the video.

I can follow you quite good now.

When you are playing rag pahadi, do you also use notes other than bandish?

Here is what I have for rag Pahadi, please correct me if I am wrong:

aroh: Sa Re Ga, Pa Dha S

avroh: S Dha Pa, Ga Re Sa Dha

I feel when you play all open holes, it could be either Ma or Ni ?

Again, I greatly appreciate your videos. Thanks.

  • Bro, I have no clue what the aroh/avroh of pahadi is. I learnt by ear and I play like that too. I can sit down and work what I am playing out, but that is too much work. :-) By the way, I liked your guitar. Nice!
