I have seen a lot of accordion playing. From the ones on Youtube...Romanian Gypsy Ionica Minune is by far the best. The degree of difficulty of his playing, the speed, the technicality, how effortlessly he does it - I have never seen an accordion players hands move as fast as his. Also, don't forget - the button accordion is much easier to play fast melodies compared to the piano accordion.

I don't think either of these are the world's best. There are dozens of musicians from Bulgaria and other Balkan countries who are superior. One example is the whole family of Halkias in Greece, who have passed down clarinet playing from generation to generation. And they are not gypsies, or peasants. And the second is a matter of taste/culture. This video and music are great. I love the sound created by the Balkan musicians. Accordion and in this case also clarinet. It all sounds so foreign and "off-key" yet amazingly beautiful with the speed and execution of the music. How beautiful and I hope this music never beccmes obsolete.
