I first saw 5–8 in Beaumont, TX when we had some shitty little punk club when I was a highschool teenager. The first time I saw these guys, Mike comes out playing his electric guitar without an amp or mic turned on, while everyone in the club was mingling and chatting amongst themselves. He started belting out “Weirdo” and half the club stood there wondering what was going on at first. It was lovely.
I randomly bought Gasolina (without even knowing who it was) at a record store as a grade school kid in Detroit. I'm 27 now and still have the CD and enjoy it to this day.
I saw these guys in a little live band bar somewhere outside of Philly. The concert was attended by myself any maybe 5 friends (one of whom was from Georgia and introduced all of us) and maybe 15 other people from some local uni who were there more to drink. Massive shame as it was easily the best concert of my life. I still listen to the one album I own on occasion. What happened to these guys and why are they not absolutely famous? They deserve to be.
damn...been listening to good nurse (again) recently. it is so flippin' good. oh surgery! amazing to see this video concurrent to my resurrecting the album. all their music is so quality. sorely underrated & underappreciated...keep the faith guys.
Mike and dan, great film. I have to admit that it is weird not seeing tigger on the drums. it is good to see you guys still strumming out killer music. Good choice of drummers, rizzi seems to know his drums. it brings back memories of my days playing drums for refuse factory and chugging java at the downstairs! take care.
FINALLY seen the docu.(Not too computer savvy). The Star Bar clips bring back -delic memories of the Belated Valentine's Day Show this February. The the band lets the audience interact and even crash the stage keeps me back for more! Please get the new songs out soon! Release one then the remainders out soon. I particularly like the Motorcycle Song. The pix in the vault turned out OK but need to get them to yall(should have that techno task figured)so you can put it on the cover.Keep rockin G
One of the best rock bands ever. I've seen nearly every show the band has played in Tampa, FL, going back probably as long as they've been touring. They possess an ability to connect w/ an audience unlike any other band I've seen. Exhilirating, yet informal, like seeing your friends take a stage and become this unstoppable force of nature. You know what's coming & it drops ur jaw every time. Mike, Dan, Rizz, Sean, Tigger...Thank you very much.
