Just like any animation you'll see things like that. Just like you'll see certain characters with different colors than what they are suppose to have or things that weren't colored at all.

It's cel painted animation so in order for all of the frames to look smooth sometimes you need to overlap cels for a fluid motion. She doesn't have 7 fingers, it's just a part of the animation process.

It's an animation trick to make an illusion of brisker movement. You'll see all these awkward frames in most anime, because that's what allows movement to look natural for the eye :3 It is not a mistake in any way.

Its a simple animation technique used on limited budgets. The fast frames convey some motion that isnt actually animated. Yep yep. They probably felt the frame looked odd, so they added the fingers to make the animation look more fluid. /my opinion
