Nice man thats great job u did......always love to get one HD but with the situation right now in Greece you can only....steal one ha ha ha !!! Enjoy your rides man glad to see people with good taste on bikes(there is some reeeeally shity ones on youtube)
I see your above comment regarding the licks solo bag. I just bought one and I'm trying to put it on my 09 nightster but it doesn't seem to stay in place (falls forward). I didn't try the zip ties but they don't seem long enough. Suggestions? Thanks!
Man I love your bike.. I got an 09 Nightster and I have a little work in it. But I gotta change it up. I like how your bike is not chopped beyond reconigtion that' it's a Nightster.
@nimaxx38 When researching bobbers I saw a lot of guys just add the WW to the rear. I liked the look. My tires are getting worn so I'm going to go with WWs on both and see how I like that look.
Hi, I really like the bag on ur bike...Is that a Licks (brand) bag? If so, I've been looking at purchasing, but wasn't sure as to how difficult it would be to install? Do they include all of the instructions & hardware one would need to install on a 2009 Nightster? Thanks.
@garth50 I'm 5'11" and prefer a stretched out feel. The apes help but even with the forward controls, I had my stock seat modified to sit back another 1.5". You may want to look at the Street Bob.
excellent! good job. made it perfect. i have been watching many nightsters, yours is the best. if you don't mind i'd like to ask you what kind of bag is that u have on the side? how can i get and put it? thank you.
Hell of a great looking bike you did. I am currently waiting for my Nighster delivery. In a long run it would follow similar task of modifications..... Go for it
Hi, Like the look of the handlebars, have a 08 Nightster as well and was thinking of putting the same bars 14". I'm 5' 7" tall will it be to hight for my arms ? How tall are you ?
@jnightster I don't think so but I'm sure can purchase all black shocks. The upper fork tubes slide into the lower fork tube so I'd think any powder coating or paint would just rub off.
Hey man went through and watched all your videos for the bike and got to say I bet that was pretty dang fun doing almost all of the mods just you and your buddies. I am looking to get a nightster her very soon and seen a ton online, but none come close to yours. Badass brother. Quick question if you don't mind. How did you get the speedometer under the gas tank like that? Was it tough?
@PoPo2387 - I just used a tachometer mount which screwed right into the coil bracket. Go to HD Forums and do a search for speedometer relocation. You should get a lot of hits - its where I learned from it. Look for Fishboy who crafted the handlebar clamp.
@bdorr67 cool. they sound really good... thinkin of puttin them on my new 48 sportster i just picked up. great job on the bike though. gives me some ideas for my build
awsome nightster, top job wanted to know if the saddle bag was something you had made or was it sold as a kit? I`ve been looking to fit one of those bags to my nighty.
I also dig the front light (mounting) looks cool, good work.
@Tattoofreakster - Ah, yes it is. When I removed the speedo from the stock bracket it exposed a white casing. After placing in the clamp some of the white was exposed so I just wrapped it with black electrical tape. Can't even tell.
@maki6296 - hope I understand you question correctly. The make of the handlebars are Burly - 14" Burly Narrow Glide apes (14 inch = 35.56 centimeter). The handlebar grips are the Harley-Davidson nostalgic grips.
Hey Mike, always great to hear from a brother firefighter.
I'm 5'11" and took the N for a demo ride with mid controls. Couldn't stand it. Took another one with forward controls for a ride and was much more comfortable. Even so, I had my seat customized and wanted to sit another 2 inches back - I like to stretch out.
I've read on the forums that guys over 6' have no problems with the N but you may want to research a bit. Have you looked at the Street Bob?
Hey I just happened to have ordered these bars do yo have the part # or length for clutch, throttle and idle cables. Thanks would save me a lot of time.
i have ben researching the nightster for a couple years because its what i want my first bike to be and i've seen almost every modded nighster out there and i have to say that yours is absolutely the sickest i ve seen. everything from the deep red wheels to the wrapped dragpipes just screams oldschool! LIVE to RIDE, RIDE to LIVE!!! Keep rockin bro!
Great thank you. Im not sure if you would know or not but i have the harley mini apes on my nightster right now and i recently bought the burly narrow glide 14" bars. should the cables fit or do you think i'll need to replace?
Nice videos man.... I watched video 1 of 8 and couldn't stop. Felt like I was watching a TV show...I had to see what was gonna be worked on next. It's nice to see what it takes to really take the bike apart. I'm getting ready to buy one and will eventually make some mods.
great looking bike!!! im curious on how the speedo is mounted on the bike. i bought the auto meter mounting bracket but im not sure on where exactly it is mounted.
what took so long to get this episode out? lol. Well, i'm still workin on getting me a nightster but no luck so far. i was wondering what the handle bars you got are and where i might be able to pick up a set.
Hav you ever thought of raising the gas tank? Giv it more of a bobber look?
tokkmmann 2 weeks ago
@tokkmmann - I had but something didn't look quite right with the tank lift. Too faux bobber IMO.
I sold the bike a year ago.

Look at the description for the vid and you'll see all that was done.
