Great post! Thank you Andrea. I am just wondering if this interview happened after the Don Lane show as stated on ABBAonTV. Here when Benny says they will do a concert tour of Australia in November, Frida looks at Benny as if he should not be talking about it yet. And yet this has already been announced by Bjorn in the Done Lane interview, which supposedly occurred a couple of days before. I am confused. Could it be that the Don Lane show happened after the interview by Daryl Somers?

What a primitive, hyper, over-stimulated, and discourteous interviewer. The ABBA were clearly IRRITATED, but went with the flow as the professionals they were. He would not let ABBA squeeze a word in. As they began to speak, he would cut them off. The ABBA held well and tolerated the impoliteness as much as the reasonable manners allow.

Wow, I really didn't think he was discourteous. I agree he WAS over-stimulated, lol. I think that's what made him seem rude....he was just sort of "star-struck" I think, and attempting to joke with them

I don't think his over-stimulation led to his rudeness, he just was. To screw up an interview with ABBA like that, totally out of place. As far as him attempting to joke, good luck joking during interviews even when you're sober. Flying high in such situations is a recipe for disaster, as it was clearly the case here.

You're probably right. It just seemed like he was just trying too hard. Of course, the members of ABBA have always been courteous in interviews no matter how irritating the interviewer may be.

That's great! I love it!!! Haha ABBA are so funny! And who is that host? I'm sure I've seen him somewhere before, is it Darryl Sommers? Or have I gone completely mental and it's some other random person who I've never seen before? Anyways after all my rambling about nothing!

It's a great clip, I love it, I just wish that I could have been there in the audience, and then watched the show on TV, but yeah, I wasn't exactly around then! Ah well. ABBA rock!!!
