Thank you so much! Why though do you knit by pulling out the front needle and knitting off the back with JMCO and with regular magic loop, say with a figure 8 or Turkish cast on, you pull out the back needle and knit off the front?
Never mind about the blurry. It's NOT too blurry for me to see what goes around what...and that's what's most important. I like it short and businesslike. You provided that. Thanks so much.
So much better than the one on here that talks about jungles and stuff. She did a good job but I was lost in between her stories. Your video is so much better and its not that blurry. :)
Hi! This is great. I'd like permission to direct my readers to this video. I'm writing a knitting book and use either this or a figure 8 cast on for a couple of projects. I like this one best.
I love it! Thanks for showing us. Like when I do the long-tail cast-on, my thumb starts to strain when I'm casting like a ton of stitches for socks. 5 star rating!
Thank you so much for posting this!! My only question is...aren't you supposed to pull out the needle that the working yarn is on when you start knitting?? (the back one and knit onto the front one)
I just spent time working this video and Cat Bordhi's video. For other viewers - just an FYI - they are not exactly the same. If you wrap the bottom yarn around and through the middle (using the same direction as with the top yarn), you will avoid having to knit through the back loop.
I think I got it!! I really think I got it! Thanks so much. I will watch it again and again to be sure but the way you explained it makes perfect sense!
Thank you; not too much talking and not too distracting. You might've used a background to cover the blinds to make seeing the needles and yarn clearer, but overall, I's say you did a nice job of explaining this technique; not that I'm any good at it right now =P

Great demo - I agree with Rekkanotara - not too distracting with all the chatter about jungle vines and ticking clocks... ;-)

GREAT video! I knew how to do this already, but I'm sharing your link with a friend who will be using this cast on for the first time. Thanks!!!
