  • my right ear enjoyed this video

  • Should have went Sec Fo instead of my boring job. Only 5 more years of it. FML!

  • hahaha same video that got me :/

  • defendors of the force...may the force be with you....LOL

  • LIES! I Wish it really was as action packed-super-awesome-badass as this video makes it out to be... It makes me laugh when people in tech school are all packed full of HUA and think SF is badass.... Although SF provides a lot of opportunity, its all about luck, who you know, and who you blow. hahaha Goodluck guys

  • As a 6 year SF member, this gives me the giggles.

  • @samarama31889 6 years what kind of contract is that? ....

  • That is rubbish cam cream application at 3:48. None on the ears, neck or hands. He would show up like a torch on NVGs. One easy kill for a sniper. Oh, and take the wedding ring off.

  • I fucking love this video

  • I remember this shit from the recruiting office haha. AND IT'S NOTHING LIKE THIS

  • I remember this shit from the recruiting office haha

  • "Have you got what it takes to be one of us?" No but you douchbags gave it to me anyway :(

  • Yeah the Atvs are awesome I think i rode one once. We were never allowed to touch them . What a c@ck tease, recruiting ploy.

  • Im working out in the Missle Field but since Japan need A1c's im headin to Kadena Hoaa so if anyone is an Airmen........PUT IN FOR ORDERS!!!!! as soon as the listing comes out

  • @USAF18MP

Been to Kadena and had a blast! FUCK YEAH!

  • Oh God.... mustashes, 4 wheelers, camo paint, great acting, a scene with ONE hot girl in class, amazing tech, sweet guns.... I'm in SF and already embarrassed about being a "Defender".... then I watched this... And now I'm HUA!!!!!

  • NOT

  • I remember this video as well...."Do you have what it takes, to be one of us"....if you have an ass you can sit on, then yes.

  • LIES!

  • Yo I remember watchin this video, and my recruiter lookin at me with a big smile!! now I know why... Fuck Security Forces this shit is for the birds.... Join only if you like kissin ass, and being on your knees.... no lol... Im serious

  • @1985Trip LMAO

  • I remember this video! This is the one I watched at my Recruiters... funny how I don't remember ever shooting a M-19!! Or for that matter... learning how to use the night vision devices.. we were taught very breifly on how to use NVG's but that was it. M60's were phased out in like.. 2003 or 2004 I was an M-60 gunner. I hated that weapon with a passion.. but loved it at the same time as I was the only female 60 gunner for a while on my flight! :)

  • @DNA0603

You missed out, and were in the wrong unit. We used the MK-19, M2, 81mm mortar, pluggers, thermal image, and NV stuff. Next time 204 SFS buddie. Thanks Defender...

  • we own the night!! a night full of making sure the planes dont get blown away by the wind or something! lmaoO haahahhaha

  • cheak out that GPS.... OLD SCHOOL! haha

  • Brassards are used in deployed settings such as iraq and afganistan. Some bases also use them, such as Ramstein AB, Germany.

  • bwahahaha. this video is such bullshit lmao

  • @airmanskittlez hahaha i noe right

    DONT DO IT!!

  • Boy, that shit sure is a lie. Sign up and your ass will be dodging bullets as you guard an oil well in Iraq.

  • @RayAir1 Or sitting in the middle of No Mans Land Nebraska considering suicide as a way to get out of the Missle Fields!

  • @ssgtgreatness Thats Sound like a PRP issue there buddy lol what base are u station'd at?......FE Warren Hoaaa!!!!.....sigh

  • The bassards are still worn over seas like germany and korea. I dont think in the states it is.

  • shit dude, my recruiter just showed me this shit like 3 weeks ago lol

  • wtf m60 in the year 2000

  • Who counted thesteps around a

    b-52?

  • I like the part where it says "talk to your recruiter to see if you qualify to become SF" when you can get a waiver to become one if you dont pass the ASVAB. lol all day and night.

  • the 569th US Forces Police Squadron still wears Brassards...when I served 2004-2007 we referred to ourselves as "the Last SP's in the Air Force" as our Brassards had "SP" on them.

    And they still do.

  • A well made video. Too bad it doesn't show hours walking around a plane counting rivets in the cold as CIS, or trying to stay awake in a WSA during a mid.

  • or having to carry around 50lbs of useless gear/weapons, or putting up with constant harassment by back office. oh, cant forget about the 6 on and 6 month off deployment schedules some of us are on! the longer I am in the career field, the more I hate it. its time to get a new AFSC.

  • lol you guys have to walk around the plane? we just chill in our squad cars, what base are you at?

  • DAF Police - - aka DOD Police. Enforcing the Law so you can deploy more often.

    <<<moi

  • A long time ago they were Called Security Police and wore these big blue armbands with SP on it

  • We never wore armbands with SP on it. I was in from 82-92. 3902nd SPS, 3rd LES, 9th SPS (2) 3rd TEWTS.

  • Actually, the AP/SP/SF field has worn brassards throughout its history. I never personally wore one either, but they are still in use in various forms.

  • I have seen AP and SF. The only place I ever saw SP's wear one was in Korea.

  • Check out the photo from the DOD website. I put the link in the video description. The SP versions were out there and in use even after the field changed the name to Security Forces.

  • NI... NIGHT VISION? D... DID SHE SAY NIGHT VISION? I LOVE NIGHT VISION. guess i'll find out how different it is soon. leave for BMT in 12 days and SF is my job afterwards

  • 2000 that is not old! try 1986

  • I came into the AF in Dec of 2007 and that is what they showed me, they hooked me with the ATVs and MK19 (which I didn't shoot til I went TDY from my first and current base) as well as M60 (M240B now) but overall I am happy with my decision. I will be a cop when I get out.

  • Thats where I'm going in about 2 years!! =D

  • Fuck that job.

  • amen brother lol I could have sworn the last time I saw this I thougt they had horses in it.....

Though seriously I do miss my 249 that was my baby HUA! .......yea

  • This is the video that got my ass to do SF. It wasnt the best job but alteast I got to travel and I have a good paying high level security job now.

  • lol wow.. this video is the most bs thing ive ever seen. owell they still got me by the balls till 2011. so i just get to shut up and color. what fun

  • Get out and go to school. Don't get scared at the last minute and reenlist. Always remember the bad times.

See you on the other side.

  • were you SF ?

  • thats what i did! got my associates last month and i am now a junior at rutgers university...thanks GI Bill!!!

  • hhhooooooah

  • This is the video they showed me 3 years ago when I first joined..... what the video did't show was how we watch aircraft for hours on end to make sure they don't float off some whair.

  • *LOL* Old??? Heck,,,, that's all news to me!!! I got out in 91 - we never had half the stuff they're showing in this video!

    Oh to be young again.

  • This is the last thing I needed to see after spending the last 14 hours making sure our KC135's didn't walk away in the night....

  • I did this from 85-89. Sicily to Sin City, but if I had to do it again I would have done something different. I would have joined TACP if I just had to get my fight on, but should have followed up with my recommended field of Administration 702. 9-5 job, good looking women. I had a lot of fun and met some cool people and that will always be greater than the negatives but if I had to advise someone, I'd say choose something else. It did help me become a cop in the world though.

  • They make that job seem like fun. It really sucks. If you like staring at a flightline for 16 hours out of the day then be my guest. Oh and Military working dog program can be hard to get into. Oh yeah and everyone hates you.

  • 2:57 wtf is Kel doing in the airforce....

  • lmfao so tru

  • DAMMMM this is same as are RAF regiment but the only thing WOMEN ARE ALOUD TO JOIN cool

  • dam look at that old gps lol

  • the info on this video says its from 2000 but man this video looks like its from the late 80's to early 90's lol. but i leave in may for bmt and im going in sf can't wait

  • its the best job in the airforce though because you acutally doing something at bases and down range, but comes alot of heart ache and time at work, being a cop or sf isnt easy, and yes we still have to earn our beret its not easy to make it through it and still can get kicked out, GO SP GO. 569th

  • haha first off, we have atvs but you will never use them, then there is the drving through the woods part, you will drive but most of the time its on base, but most of the training is true, but its funny how old this is,

  • I think this is really what I want to do with my life.

But the problem is I'm a bit shy. I know you have to do a lot of communicating with policing.

    :(

  • Don't worry about shit. Just do it if that is what you want. When you get done with SF training you will feel like a fucking gangsta. You will be able to tell anyone what the fuck deal is. I mean the secret is if you don't know what you are doing just act like you do. But the down side to SF is the endless boring uneventful shifts. I mean endless 12 hour shifts drove me up a fucking wall. You should think about admin it is an indoor mon-fri 9-5 job. weekends = good

  • Change your mind kid. They'll send your ass to Minot AFB ND and that place is a LIVING HELL. You may not end up there but your chances are GREAT. Take it from me I did 6 freakin years in the AF as a SP and 3 of those were at "the not". Go be a Dr. You'll be happier.

  • Why not Minot LOL

I've heard horror stories. I was one of the lucky ones who got stationed at Nellis working security side.

  • Why is Minot AFB ND a living hell?

  • Why not Minot? Freezing's the reason!

  • My dad was a Air Force Security Police and was stationed there, he said is sucked. stupid rabbits would trigger alarms at like 1am and it would be SOOO COLD, and they would have to go check it out. It was miserable.

  • lmfao....serious?

  • What do commissioned officers do in the air force security forces?

  • flight commanders, operation officers, squadron commanders, and a variety of desk jobs at the majcom level and higher. course there's only 1 general in SF and only a handful of colonels.

  • They get to boss around flights and squadrons of airmen all day..LOL. I seen a grip of "not so smart" sf officers. I would find myself looking at some LT's or Captain's and saying, "If he can do it, then i can do it for sure"..

  • they do a lot of ........

  • Stateside...paperwork....deployed...paperwork/field operations

  • *L* Minot & K.I. Sawyer AFB - gotta be two of the coldest most miserable places in the winter time. I loved it though!!!

    (K.I. from 84 - 91

  • Thats a lie try Grand Forks AFB

  • im thinking about it too my problem is fear of death tho like by roadside bomb >.>

  • You are shy because you havent had the training yet. I cant speak for the AF but I went through a civilian police academy to become a police officer. I was pretty shy myself but they train you on command presence and what not. Shooting guns, hand to hand combat training and stuff like that build up your confidence too. Once you have a gun on your waist and a nice shiny badge 95% of the population isnt going to fuck with you. You're the boss man and you do what the fuck you want know what I mean?

  • I ship out on 24FEB2009, this was the only job I really wanted :) and I got it

  • everyone gets it kid...most get stuck with it

  • Fantastic!

    -- Bill Morris

    USAF Combat Security Police

    Vietnam 1969-1970

  • Ship April 14 USAF SF. Can't wait.

  • This was the video they sucked me in with 10 years ago. 203 days left!

  • LOL this is the vid that got me back in 03... and remember we get the most state of the art technology from vietnam like that big ass GPS lol

  • Hoorah to Security Forces. "Team 5-War to the Knife, Knife to the Hilt",Apr 2001 Grad, when SF tech school was still real, and you worked for the BLUE BERET, and earned it. To the younger airman, dont be punk and say you cant make it because its much easier now than it was when i went through. Our washout rate was horrible. Be strong DEFENSOR FORTIS 2SFS Barksdale AFB, LA aka BARKATRAZ VETERAN!!! HUA

  • hahaha BARKATRAZ

  • i spent 6 yrs in the royal air force regiment, its the equivelent of the usaf sf, however we only train for combat we dont do any policeing , we are also airborne, and are trained to take airfields as well as defend them ....oh and strictly no women allowed!

  • sir, that is above and beyond the equivelent, though I do still enjoy my job.

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  • SPs riding all-terrain vehicles? Bullshit.

  • I spent a lot of time on ATVs. On one of my deployments, I spent most of my time on an ATV. their out there

  • This is not old. They say Security Forces. I was an SP. that's old school.

  • That was my LE flight sitting in that class room during the video. We were there in early 98. Team 3 Bravo. Those were good times. I did 9 years and then hung up my boots. You young bucks out there enjoy you time while you're in. It goes fast. Take every oportunity SF gives you. Good luck to all. Be safe out there. When you do put the shield on and go to the sand box, come home safe.

  • You gotta be kidding me! This is so much different than in my years in the AF and Vietnam. Our trng wasn't anything like this. We got 3 weeks of combat trng then Hello Vietnam. When I came home I did the rest of my time at Scott AFB in Belleville, Illinois.

  • dude they still use this video my recruiter showed it to me back in 05 after repeatedly telling me to pick a different career field.

  • BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! LOL Lies, all Lies!!! top of the line equipment? HA most of that shit doesn't work!!! this was funny!

  • I couldn't help but laugh when they said that and showed the PLGR. That thing was about as non-user-friendly as you could get for a GPS system. "Forget using an arrow to show direction, let's have them follow these three DIAMONDS to figure out where to go."

  • My dad was an SP. I plan on being one too.

  • The field had changed a lot from when I was in, and from when your dad was in too no doubt, but I still think its a good choice. Good luck!

  • mine too the are awesome stick with it you can go a long way

  • My Granddad was one, my Dad was one, now I'm going in on March 3rd. Its all sorts of generational here.

  • I'm 3rd generation military. My grandpa and dad were Army, but I had to be different and went Air Force. Best of luck to you.

  • HUA!!

  • i really shoulda just went full time active duty.

    ANG sucks.

  • Yeah, you suck :P

  • Then your unit sucks. Get with a good ANG unit. There are a LOT of good ANG cops units out there, who most of the time are better trained than the AD. Tell your training section to get off of their asses.

  • I went thru SP training in the early 1970's. the training today is so much more intense. Compared to my day, the SP force is much more mission ready and better prepared for todays operations. To all who have served as AP, SP or SF, thankyou. We are all brothers of the beret.

  • thanks :)

  • Support OUR Airman. God Bless America.

  • Support out Airman. God Bless America.

  • the black guy at 2:59 looks like kenan from all that and good burger

  • Ha I was stationed with that guy at Incirlik AB, Turkey from 2000-2002.

  • rofl, hua! I'm currently in training, halfway done, but I'm loving it. Can't see myself doing anything else. Ancient vid though.

  • this video was so awseome when i got in. then i got in and it was more sitting around in a car haha. i loved being in though!

  • Old video indeed, but not half as old as some of the crusty old SNCOs we have at the controls. It'll be great in about a decade when there's a lack of E-7s through E-9s to lead up 3POX1 because they all got out as airmen.

  • i agree the SF's r using M4s now not m16s

  • i had a feeling it was out of date what do you actually do in training?

  • Our career field has changed so much ! ...well, if you're not a missle cop

  • she's lying there is nothing physical about sf training

  • i agree i just got out of sf training and nothing in the video was even remotely close to what we did

  • M60??? we need to update our recruiting video

  • This one is 8 years out of date. At least they're not still using the one the recruiter showed me back in the day! Still, I agree - an update would be in order by now.
