  • Wonderful video brought me to tears. The shot at 2:50 is beautiful and then the shot at 3:05 says it all. look at Joe McCarthy's face. He can't bear to look at Lou. RIP Lou.

  • @willrothfuss Thanks for watching.

  • I have a friend from SF who's last name is Dahlgren, i wonder if there related.

  • Thank you for this very fine video. Whenever I think of Gehrig, tears come to my eyes.

  • That would make me cry seeing my boyhood idle ending his carrer to awful diease. Lou Gehrig was one of the great ones.

  • what an incredible story....one as a passionate fan of the game's history, never had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you for reminding me of why I have embraced baseball my entire life.

  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks for a very good video. I can see that you are/were very proud of your Grandfather. The footage is great along with the music. Only one can imagine the heavy heart your GF had on that day. Replacing his boyhood Baseball hero. Hitting the homer on that day probably brought my pleasure to Lou's heart than anyone could imagine, along with your Grandfather...
