Comic sans isn't a bad font per say, but like a lot of fonts (Papyrus being another example) people think because it looks pretty that the product will look pretty if you put it on, and so it's used everywhere and it looks bad from a design point of view.

@Devver08 Don't hate on Copperplate! The good ones are obviously going to get used more often than the bad ones (few exceptions like Comic Sans which aren't very good, but still decent). Trajan is an serifed caps face too that's been used a lot. If you were to chronicle every instance in the univers of Trajan being used for movie branding, you'd notice that it's been used a myriad of times for movies but it's still good.

anyway I consider CS being kind of revolution. guess why. noone likes it :) it means children love it, this I can guess just without any doubt, but everytime I ever suggested someone to use it, he refused... I feel this design to be step to typewriter and step and sniff to hand writing ... but it seems, in final, happily, not comic for me (b. name is pft.), and probably people love to be formal to ice, so they feel "stupid" to express leeway.
