  • Katy is amazing, acrobat, dancer - shining artist!

  • hahaha Very diferent from Carmen Miranda and not very "Brazilian" (although Carmen herself had already re-created a samba more "european"). But I love it, they are good dancers...thank u for sharing!

  • @liviapj Hehehe Livia.. Nobody could do TicoTico like Carmen Miranda. She was unique. They must have been big fans in Egypt during that time because there is alot of Brazilian influence in many of the song and dance numbers in old Egyptian films.

  • @lebdancer I believe it was the influence of Hollywood over Egyptian cinema. USA showed lots of Brazilian dances in their movies during the same period. Our folk dances were then changed to be more pleasent to North American taste. You may seacrh for "the good neighbour policy" (Rosevelt Era). Surelly it reflected on the other countries. I love Carmen and I respect her work, but unfortunatelly, that´s what she represents. And Katie, wow, was she also a circus artist?? So flexible!

  • WOW.... how egypt has regressed since these days!

  • such an amazing hint from the old amazing Egypt

thank u so much for uploading

    cheers ..

  • That's interesting!! Thank you for sharing!!
