i made several of these last year as gifts after i got one of these cubes from the museum. The problem i always had were the cubes i made were not square, and even the cubes i got from the art store weren't completely square either. This became a bigger issue with the photographs because some of them would not align because of the uneven sizes.

When taping the hinges, it's a really good idea to tape both sides and bend them and firmly press so the tape stretches and doesn't hold them open.
