Jaroslaw Suska you are one of the greatest skilled fighters of TKD masters with your techniques and style. watching your videos really motivate me to keep going with TKD all the way . That was soo cool!!
Jarosław Suska is without question very talanted, however, I would like to see that he demonstrates the same techniques with both legs. He only shows kicking skills with his right leg and I would love to see if his left leg is at the same level. Otherwise, excellent video!
@MadeInBGR Check him out doing the pattern Moon Moo. You'll see both legs then. Juche is a great ITF pattern for kicking also. He can put on a great show and he is probably 1 of the best in the world with pattern's, pity he can't fight as good.
actually a roundhouse kick with the ball of the foot is far stronger, especially on the abdomen or ribs.try it out, have someone kick you lightly with the instep and then with the ball of the foot.the second will hurt much more. the instep is a larger surface than the ball of the foot, and the same force on a smaller surface does more damage
I also find it incredible that someone of your skill/knowledge has the nerve to flipantly criticise someone in a different league to them. Perhaps this attitude is part of the reason you are not in this league. The term 'keyboard warrior' springs to mind.
You say you have respect for someone like suska, where was the respect in your original post?
It reminds of the saying. "Any fool can condemn, complain and criticise, and most fools do".
impressive! would have liked to see him use both legs... anyway, his back piercing kick is technically incorrect. he's doing a spinning side piercing kick. if i am correct, a back piercing kick is performed with your back facing your target and toes down on your foot.
Must agree he does seem to favour his right leg alot. However his bak piercing kick is absolutely correct - using a spinning motion with a side kick on the end using the footsword. The kick you describe is the WTF competition back kick or in ITF = back snap kick which does use the heel (ITF condensed encyclopedia page 267). Hope this helps
I can easily understand why he is the best in the world to do patterns.. He have speed, power and flexibility. Most high "ranked" people in TKD has flexibility but not power and thats kinda bad cause u dont defend yourself with high kicks...So u can get a long way with power and speed alone
being a 9th degree has nothing to do with performance, its honorary as are the previous 2 degrees and awarded for services rendered to itf.Other martial arts are the same at these high ranks.
I think nowadays with the populrity of MMA, people badmouth arts like TKD, but don't really understand the level of commitment, focus and training it takes to make these martial arts trully effective.
to be a world champion in tkd would require all these but no amount would make it very effective fighting /self defense. This would require lots of contact sparring in the open, clinch and ground positions plus practise of the techniques in each.Tkd doesnt even address clinch or ground and overemphasises kicks at the expense of boxing.
Suska is amazing, a great exponent of TKD. I'd like to see him use his left leg though, its so obvious that he always uses the right leg, his good leg. That said if u can be that good on the one leg, why bother wit two!!

not correct, watch him perform Moon Moo, he does the same with his left.
I've trained and competed against him several times and he is better in the flesh and equally good with his left leg.
If you are any of the people in the video clip of yours then you have some cheek criticising someone like Suska.
Everyone on your vid is poor to average performing very easy breaks on wafer thin boards.
memuver 2 years ago
Added to that, you appear to be a junior Dan grade (1st-3rd degree) criticising not only a world champion but a highly regarded 5th degree in the ITF.
If you are in the ITF then shame on you.
