Too be fair, DSP's Sniper strategy is a legit one. He just has horrible execution, especially with hunting her down. If he knew about holding the two triggers to peak up while prone, he could find the Boss quickly and shoot her.

I really want to like DSP again, I really do, but he plays and commentates in exactly the way that I despise, that being him blaming the game for his own mistakes, which just simply isn't the way to play through ANY game. And playing through MGS3 this way simply doesn't do it any justice. While there are indeed some things wrong with MGS3, there certainly isn't as much wrong as DSP thinks there is.

To be honest, DSP, you deserve all the hate you're getting from this.

DSP's instant gratification done him in on this play-through. This game isn't a run and gun like FPS games and the controls are not designed to be played like FPS. You wouldn't play a sonic game like streets of rage; Why play a Metal Gear game like Modern Warfare. DSP would be done with this part after the second try if he would play the game appropriately.

I don't like Shakespeare but I accept that it is good just not my cup of tea, same with games. whatever the reason why he was complaining the style of game is not his forte and so adapting to such is harder. Wow... I guess he didnt know that you can switch weapon and fast reload by pressing R2(ps3) twotimes. This boss battle is where thermal, stealth comes into play. I love this game due to its gameplay and story. How ever i guess this third gen games got dumb down for gamers like dsp. Cough* cough* dark souls own phils soul!!!!!

MGS3 was not made with a modern TPS style camera. It had a top-down camera that was the standard camera system for the series. With a top-down/fixed camera, going into first person meant the view adjusted to whatever direction Snake was facing, and it always made PERFECT SENSE to the player.

With the updated camera, Phil is getting confused by it because he's used to modern TPS games always correcting the aim view to where the third person camera was centred. This does NOT happen here.

I love MGS, MGS3 is my favorite in the series, and I absolutely love this boss. That said, I knew this would happen, and all I can do is offer some advice. Different camouflage's have different effects. The best camo for combat is the sneaking suit, hands down (unless you're fighting soldiers, then it's the Cold War). Also, those goggles are making it much harder to see quite honestly. You can easily counter the bosses CQC, and run up for a 3 piece, shoot her while she's on the ground. Bam.

Plus, it always feels different when you're actually playing it compared to just watching it later. A lot of these people don't seem to understand that though. @gmanleader0 Yep. Especially with a game like Metal Gear Solid where there are a lot of controls. Things can get complicated as there are a lot of actions. You lose your cool, forget that you have to press a button here or not press a button there, don't get Snake to do what you wanted, and rage. I was pretty bad the first time I played as well. I'm just glad I didn't have a bunch of the game's fans watching me and flaming me just because it was my first time playing it.
