  • @tekurider259 Quick claw

  • fake

  • OWWW! Right in the childhood! That hurt!

  • im getting my geodude right now !!!!

  • why the hell did U do that? 29:40

  • Ways to become the world champion in just 3 hours:

    Catch a Geodude/Graveler.

ALWAYS OHKO every pokemon you fight.

Never run into a SINGLE pokemon(unless it's a pokemon you need).

Name all pokemon 1 letter/2 letter words.

And best of all, take the SHORTEST route possible.

  • Battle the rival next time you stupid bitch!!!

  • No Random wild battles cheat DETECTED D:

  • @WalRochaBrolly There are no cheats in there, man

  • at 2:52:24 lv62 beats lv81

  • BEST FUCKING MUSICS EVER ESPICIALY AT: 2:52:09 !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And at 2:12:14 how'd ya skip the ending? And on top of that why Graveler?

  • 12:42 R.I.P /

  • 1:00:00 TAS = 2 days normal Player

  • and now a speedrun how you catch all pokemon in 20minutes..

  • you just insulted my childhood. epic.

  • a 20 minutes TAS took me 1 entire day T.T

  • does the creator of the video sleep? o.o

  • I love the way shinies sparkle in Gen 2.

  • Faulkner: Oh, so you come to challenge me to a match, eh? Well, let's not waste any time! Let's battle! I choose my Pidgeotto. And you chose your...

    LV100 LUGIA!!??

Damn you, 11 year olds and your GameShark!

  • It's the best to play and rise Cydaquil. When he is Typhlosion he is unbeatable :)

  • I never understood why Charm failed randomly .

  • @twistedlightning It doesn't work on the same sex

  • How does one TAS Pokemon? Like, how exactly does that even work?

Not trying to be a dick or anything. I actually don't understand.

  • @robosteven Usually it involves using the RNG (random number generator) to gain critical hits every attack, force the enemy to miss often, and avoiding unnecessary combat against Pokemon in grass. If he really wanted to he could just catch all shiny Pokemon with a single pokeball, all based on the RNG as well.

  • @OniAmiTheResurected ...That makes sense. Perfect for speedrunning. Thanks.

  • in three hours?! That's like my brother playing it and beating it in a day... O.o

  • He is god.

  • Comment removed

  • The inside of Blue's gym looks like it's made out of Legos.

  • nice tas run but i prefer to play not in this rush xD

  • I watched way more of this than I should have.

  • You thought Red's high level Venusaur & Blastoise were going to beat Graveler?

    Think again.

  • !:BYE MOM BECOMING CHAMPION BE BACK IN 3 HOURS

  • @LOLCOWMAN Hahahahaha

  • @LOLCOWMAN Got a good damn laugh from this.

  • A critical hit!

  • damn... i had over three HUNDRED hours logged on my gold version before the battery died

  • how was that graveler faster than every other pokemon in the entire game?

  • @egomaniac654 ah nvrm i see quick claw spammage.. I hope this guy is proud of himself! He just spent his whole life breaking the shit out of my favorite childhood game! Theres not even anything to be proud of here! Theres no skill involved in this SPAMMAGE of save states! Just an insane amount of wasted time!

  • @egomaniac654 So...the real loser is the guy who spent a few days to make this video...or the guy named "egomaniac654" who is leaving hateful comments on said guy's video?

  • @egomaniac654 you know the game calculates with percentages. the some pokemon have higher some have lower. before every action, the player hits 'save state' and when the enemy is aout to hit he is gonna 'load state' to retry until he hits and goes on. so this video is a TAS (tool-assisted speedrun). it's like cut. you dont see him load and save stating. you see the video as a whole.

  • Wow!

  • he isnt lucky or something like that guys.

He had to repeat every single frame of the attacks in order to get a critical hit when mobs where not going to die 1 hit

and thats A LOT OF WORK

  • @GraniteAge you wish luck manipulation was that easy...

  • Watchin This Hurts Inside.... All That Work Watched In 3 Hrs o.O

  • You have ROCKED with the ROCK type :D

  • GO / !!!!

  • 4 people are totodile in disguise

  • Tool-Assisted-Speedrunners...

    Destroying players's childhood since 1999

  • don't you just love the way he rides trough the dark caves, blind

  • 52:03

"Words are useless. Let your fists do the talking!"

Don't you just love games for children that approve of violence. :)

  • "/ used RAGE"

    / (Totodile): FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • 1:07:57

    Team Rocket Nazis?

  • No one in the world is that lucky to never run into any pokemon!

  • @jvpernis1 It's tool-assisted that means they use a crapload of savestates until they get through the grass w/o a battle and only have to do whats necessary.

  • Kids what do you like to play?!

  • So here I am watching a Gold Version speedrun.

3 hour playthrough? Oh, that sounds like fun.

He chose Totodile, but used Geodude.

Not bad choice, he's got that beast MAGNITUDE!

At the moment I'm only about 5 minutes past 40,

And right now he's battling Gym Leader Morty.

  • @Iinneus

Pokemon Gold with the sexy tool-assistance

Poke Trainer Fractal 'bout to best these fools this instant

strong rock-type just to get you through the trenches

slow it down and save the state to show these fools the business!

    Now that's a pokerap.

  • The URL is confused and crying on this video ( e_q ) . Coincidence? I think not.

  • my most troubled game, beaten in 3 hrs, i hate you. all of my childhood blood, sweat, and tears went into this for a grand total of 6hrs and 53min

  • Well that was...Awesom? What the fuck am I saying! Even if I did it as fast as I could using a level 50 Pokemon from the start, I still could not even get close to this time! It took me like 15 hours to reach the Pokemon League!

  • Ouch. You punched me in the childhood.

  • -!- received Metal-- er... POKéGEAR

  • In less than an hour he made it to the rocket base. Wtf.

  • In less than an hour he made it to the Rcoket Base. Wtf.

  • And that's how a starter become a HM bitch.

  • my entire childhood... in 3 hours???

  • @trimxalseif Yep. Years and years of work, condensed into three hours. How do you feel?

  • Rival = Knuckles the Echidna in human form

  • @34f2u1to I thought I was the only one that thought the rival is too similar to Knuckles xD

  • My Dream Team: Gligar, Noctowl, Machamp, Golem, Gengar, and Typhlosion.

    =D

  • "Ah, I'm guessing he's going to power level fo- he's already fighting Red?!?

    ...

    ...

    ...

    He won? O_O

  • It would be better if there was a normal % of wild pokemon..

  • This is faster then the old one. You are beast my friend

  • geodude is outspeeded lots of times theoraticly speaking wouldn't trading a pokemon of about lv80 be better for your team and faster, if he refuses to listen simply load the previous save file until he does???

  • @SinYue The guidelines for TAS submissions are very strict and importing pokemon from another game would probably be classified as "loading from save file" which is strictly against the rules in most regards. It would also beat the purpose of what TAS(tool-assisted speedrun) generally do which is show off what a god-like player with perfect reflexes and perfect luck can do when playing a game. Oh, and not to mention this was done on an emulator so trading would be nigh impossible.

  • @dmoogle2006

Trading can be done on emulators.

However, seeing as a TAS is just a file with a long list of command inputs for the game, linking two emulators isn't really inside the rules.

  • @Woodland312 Depends on how it's handled. If, for example, someone were to do a Pokemon Red/Blue or Silver/Gold etc... run using two emulators but one input it would be interesting to see(and probably legal) to see the two games trading Pokemon to save time. Though I can predict the only way that'd actually save time is if they were going for a 100% Pokemon game or something.

  • EPIC WIN

  • "Before you leave, make sure that you talk to your mom."

    "....Nah, I'm good."

  • A trainer named Slash, and a pokemon named Dash. Homage to Slash 'n Dash, I suppose, for those who remember. ;)

  • what was the last fight didnt remember fighting that guy lol

  • dude most of us were playing mw2/watching 2012 on the day u uploaded this mostly mw2

  • These are the chronicles of Dash, the Graveler.

  • The thing with Geodude at 13:00 was amazing

  • (Feels nostalgic for some odd reason...)

  • how come half the people he walks past dont try to duel him?

  • pokemon will always be one of the harder games to TAS, and I don't need to explain why

  • 100% crit chance :P

  • One Word Webnations: AWSOME!!!

  • i dont know how the fuck u did that youtube accept a near 3 hour video

  • @gerry1888 i can answer that. For video's LONGER then 10 minutes you must have applied for Director's Account before January 2007. After that, YouTube has made a time limit of 10 minutes (10:00 till 10:59). All the video's longer then 10 minutes are not accepted anymore

  • Tool assisted doesn't always mean playing it frame by frame (or only playing frame by frame). The reason why he/she keeps getting lucky with crits and stuff is because the game keeps getting saved/loaded until those crits you need happen if you use a tool(pretty easy done with any emulator).

I always love to see how easily some people finish the game others(me included) spend days on or even weeks.

  • @nIxNuZ Actually, TAS would just manipulate luck themselves. Speed runners would have to keep soft reseting until they got what they needed, but he can just control encounter rate and critical hits with an emulator, since it is technically possible to go through the game like this without an emulator

  • I love the "The End" music T.T

  • Don't quote me on this as I'm not 100% sure, but I believe all of the random chances in Pokemon(like crits, running into wild Pokemon, etc.) are actually based on time. As in, if you play the EXACT same way frame for frame, you should always crit in the same places and so on. Because this is a tool assisted speedrun, this would take advantage of that.

Also keep in mind that tool assisted speedruns are meant to be entertaining/pushing the limits, not to show competitive prowess.

  • @ToshX No they are totally random, because for example if you fight and receive a crit, you reset, fight again, and your foe can actually miss his attack instead, so its not always the same.

  • @HellFireUlisses Do you mean in a turn-based sense of time where frames are irrelevant, or a frame-based sense of time?

  • @ToshX they are not depedant on frame or time, every time you "activate" a attack, it will calculate the probability and such, unless you can change the RNG (random number generator) and control it, every time you attack.

  • @HellFireUlisses Ah. Are you sure about this? Could've sworn I read somewhere that Gameboy cartridges don't have enough space to do such a thing, so instead it's "randomized" by frames. I know other games tend to do it as you described, though.

  • @HellFireUlisses you can check sites like smogon and others where they study RNG, for example you can even know when a shiny pokemon will pop up by controlling it.

  • megium are best for elite four :P if witch rock and hoho are good lugia to :P and all those elite dogs

  • two words for graveler:

    ROCK ON!

  • how is this " so good! " he has perma crits? wow i wouldnt mind having every move hit for twice it should ... fucks sake scrubs

  • It's amazing how an underleveled graveler can beat the entire game.

  • @Chdonga This reply may be 3 months old but....Magnitude was kinda bugged in this generation. At times, the attack power of the number shown is actually multiplied by that number supposedly, idk how considering the damage calculation turned out totally different in the coding. Weird and bugged...

  • @khianidude I know, that's why I love that move.

  • @Chdonga when luck is on its side, that is

  • couldn't selfdestruct have saved him some paths?

  • This would have took me like 4 hours. Still this gameplay ownz

  • häää i dont understand that xD why it goes so fast

  • its a tool assisted speedrun the tools make it this fast :D

  • 2 hours, 59 minutes and 17 seconds? Shiii-

  • WATH!? Quantos Critical Hits Hein!!!

    Que BUG é esse!?

  • PBBBFT

Rival's name is ???. I love you so much now.

  • i always loved the pokemon TAS's

  • cracker

  • does a recorded count over over 40000 mean he had to do it 40000 times over O_O?

  • He loaded his emulator save states 40000 times.
