for those who use these kind of mics... id just like to add that i purchased a vintage shure SM51 clip mic which sounds bloody great thru my Shine30watt tube amp. rarely feeds back even at full volume! sm51 try one if you can. im impressed.
@sharpshooter45102 It is. I can't find it anywhere anymore, but there was a part in the beginning of the movie where Elwood picks up Jake from movie and Jake is mad because Elwood lost their original car. Was something like: Jake "Where's the car!!", Elwood "I traded it", Jake "What?!! How could you do that I loved that car!", Elwood "I traded it for a Green Bullet.", Jake says "Ok" and instantly calms down giving Elwood a look of approval. I can only assume it was cut for licensing reasons
Between the Superlux D-112C and the new models of the Green Bullet, which would you recommend? I'm looking to buy my first harp mic and it's down to those two. I'd be running it through a small mixer and tube pre-amp for the time being until I can afford an amp.
I have a Hyperamp, too. And I only can say, it's a great amp. I'm using a Shure 545SD but I can't play the amp when it's too quite. It sounds best when played close to maximum volume ... this is real vintage. And that's why it love the thing!
OK-OK, I don't think the Superlux is that bad... the Taiwan-made economy mic is not in the same weight as a mid 50's CR Bullet which is a champ from the home of the blues. Superlux is great for practising, has the same freq range as the Green Bullet, I think it is a great beginner mic for a very good price. I confess I have only tried to harp mics yet, but my new DC112/C sounds much better than the used Blues Blaster (certainly on the same equipment)...
thanks these are really nice tone checks. They are helping me to get the correct amps into my practice spaces. Are those cds or reel to reel tapes on the built in shelves?

The Tone on the new Green Bullets are too thin The vintage Green Bullets sound much better deeper tone & more crunch & more Honk.
