My first portable computing device. It's nice but..the battery life is too short, related to poor design of the way it uses the CF port by many accounts. Windows Mobile 6 with no decimals or hope of upgrades. Many apps want you to place the tip of the stylus on the far right side of the screen and move it CAREFULLY in order to scroll, clumsy. wifi and bluetooth eat power to fast. And lastly just finding the right app for the job is a pain.
@Banklawls That last complaint sort of relates to my mistake of trying to convert PaperPort made pdfs into something a portable device can read and the discovery that these apps are usually not very customizable at all.
This device opened my eyes. It does everything I wanted it to do and more but for as much as you would pay for this..just get some shiny new phone like an HTC HD2.
I have a IPAQ210,and i forgot the password to the device after being in car accident and completely forgot my passcode, problem is i didn't write it down.HELP!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS
This is an informative question, so don't take it the wrong way, anyone. What reasons would someone decide to buy a PDA or Pocket PC instead of an iPod Touch?
they are more buisness-oriented, and are more open scorse so you can load emulators etc.. plus this one has a higher res sceen and a faster proscesser than the ipod touch.
I need to be able to surf the net, read a pdf, use a bluetooth keyboard and connect to wifi at once. The iPod Touch can do this..if you are willing to void the warranty to gain functionality that should be built in by now and if you are willing to eat a few bluetooth/wifi drops.
The iPod Touch uses the same chip, antenna and frequency for bluetooth and wifi so there are some difficulties there.

@Banklawls Cool. I do not like Apple products either. I actually own a Zune HD right now which is totally awesome. If I need another handheld for school purposes or whatever, I think I'd get a PDA if they still make them. I like the idea of using a stylus and the Office Mobile.
i can see why pda's are becoming obsolite to smart phones but theres still people like me who prefer to have it seperate from the phone so i dont get intterupted while working on my pda from a stupid phone call lol
Very nice video and understanding. On my website you can have access to online texting for free. You can create a contact list of friends to send a text message. Just go to my profile to see.
I was able to download the manual for the 200 series. That hole is a speaker specifically for VOIP applications, such as Skype, which allows for private listening during voice only skype calls and the like. I think that's pretty neat. COuld someone please tell me if the 110 has it? Also, is there a big difference between 64 and 128 MB of RAM (program memory) in terms of the overall usability of the device? I mean it certainly effects the amount of apps you can run but what about performance?
the HP iPAQ 210 is a joke, its 2008 you think they would advance the technology, but hp is only out for a dollar.
they don't want to talk about the child they disowned back in 2004 the hx4700
look it up the hx4700 and hp 211 have the same performance specs!!!!!! but the hx 4700 featers a touch pad and front speakers
i own a hx 4700 and upgraded the battery to a 2500 mah for $20 and installed a russian hack bios update with windows mobile 5 that makes it very snappy and fast.
If you were to purchase a used 4700, say off of eBay, would it run Windows Mobile 6? The only thing I hate is that stupid touch pad. I need physical buttons, so I'm glad they did that on their new flagship.
