That had to be the worst 8pool I've ever seen and it was from a GM...?

The point of 8pool is to bring 2 drones, have them there with your lings just at the right time and building spines from them a good distance away to be defended but still in range of the pool and hatchery. The 6/8 and increasing lings defend it while they they go up, they don't actually engage too much with the drones unless they're positioned to do so.

Sneaking a spine is just stupid and doesn't work.

you ever wonder.... how can roaches kill other roaches? they should be immune to their own acid if they are having to hold it inside to shoot....  If not, it was a total evolutionary oversight of not coating their carapace with the same lining in their insides.

i'm just gold league zerg so i maybe shouldn't be saying you what to do, but in my option, against 6-8pool best way to defend is spines and a queen and just keep making drones. you just need to scout what is coming and try to buy time with your drones to your spines
