I played this in 9th grade. I had the Trumpet Harmon trio at the begininng. At tempo. Dang that song was fast and hard, but i played nearly perfect, what a fun song!
I feel like those dancers take away some of the attention away from the band. They shouldn't be there, i mean, if you're gonna put dancers, at least don't put them IN FRONT of the band so that they block the band...the show would've better if there weren't any dancers so that all the attention could be focused on the band all the time. They are the reason the people came to see the show. They came to see the band, not people dance
This is my favorite of the bands tunes, just good old fashioned straight ahead swing. How close can you get to '' Sweet Georgia Brown '' and still be a new song. I agree on the dancers, what purpose do they serve at a big band concert, except to distract. They wouldn't make it on Dancing With The Stars.
Fabulous, easy, laid back, comfortable and stressless! Those cats are not good they are superb! What a band: my favorite big band in town right now! I keep on repeating myself! Sorry! BPG
i love watching the guys in the band while andy solos. (sax section, specifically eric marienthal and driskill, and then the bones francisco, and craig.) They just have the expression "frick man"
I love The Big Phat Band and being a young jazz trombonist I look up to the trombone section of this band. Though I just find it odd, something about the trombone section does seem right to me. They're amazingly good but when one of them solos or just any time their articulation seems a little weird to me.
@1WFE3 trombonists do that sometimes. it's the classic trombone solo "sound" that just makes it good. like andy martin, one of the best bone players in the world. if everything was the same then it would start to be a little bland after a while :) i play bone too
This is not dancing with the stars who wants to see people dancing in front of a great big band that's playing in the background. They are not even dancing that well to begin with. One of the best , swingingest, big bands out there.
Dancers are LAAAAAAME!!!!

Has anyone notice how you can hum the melody to "Sweet Georgia Brown" to "Swinging for the Fences"? Cool or something else?

I hate the dancers, no offense. They just ruin everything I dont see why Disney hires them.
Why cant we just have the band alone?

Those poor dancing couples. They should have warned them beforehand that they were being filmed.

The playing was amazing, the dancers totally sucked. The one couple towards the beginning look like they're being electrocuted.
