Wow what a blast from the past... any others? Most people I've talked say never heard of 'em prob. just forgot. Liked jammin while hittin the ole buzz bong back in the day. NO2 powered cannibus fueled fun :)
I just remeberd the group Klaatu which I have not hear from the time the album came out way back when.....ha ha ha .....they still sound great, they wereahead of their time.........THANKS FOR POSTING THEM....
God bless ....... boomer224
ps, by the way it was said at the time it was really the Beatles who made the album

@YdonuSTFU1 There were rumors at the time that Klaatu were the Beatles recording under a different name. Lots of interesting stuff about it if you look it up. That's what brought me here.
Klaatu's songs were heavy on bass... and I find many of them were mystic messages with experimental sounds, like the Magical Mystery Tour era. It's hard to pick any of Klaatu''s songs, the one sounding most like the Beatles would beSub Rosa Subway
@PackfaninTx Some Klaatu stuff does sound a little like the stuff the Beatles were doing individualy in the seventies...this could pass as a wings track yes?
Fantastic tune. I have fond memories of cruising around in my 72 cutlass cranking this tune out. Taped it off the LP that is still kicking around. Anus of Uranus rules!
It turned out to be a bunch of studio musicians in Canada. And yes, for a few weeks, it was spreading like wildfire that this might be the Beatles. DJs were doing lengthy phone-ins from listeners and 'experts' to debate whether it was them or just a band that sounded like the Beatles.
@IntroSpectre6x3 Actually 'The Beatles Rumor' was started either right after or right before the 1st album was released (I *think* the rumor was more DJ & critic based pre-release! (Anyone?). And it was 'What would they be doing/sound like now, 7(?) years after the breakup' and listening to the 1st couple albums, I still hear some Beatle-like riffs and vocals.
One of my favourite's when I was 14 yrs old back in 1975. I played this in my bedroom on my record player when I lived in Toronto, Ontario. I played it as loud as I could without blowing the speakers. Brings back great memories. C.C.Baker, Botwood, Newfoundland, Canada
still good as the day it was made lol

There is actually a pretty big crowd out that believes that they were The Beatles.
You tell me? =)
IntroSpectre6x3 2 years ago
@IntroSpectre6x3 I never believed they were the Beatles but I think they were very creative....
deserved more recognition.

I'm too young to have believed it myself, but it was always an interesting suggestion to people who were fans longer, no?

@IntroSpectre6x3 Sure..I agree.
