  • anyone thinks this kind of sounds like the beatles?

  • @YdonuSTFU1 There were rumors at the time that Klaatu were the Beatles recording under a different name. Lots of interesting stuff about it if you look it up. That's what brought me here.

  • I'll been looking for klaatu for so long, I bought the album in 1077

  • @Fernandcarlo Geez, 1077 B.C., really? You must be oooolllld. Mwaahhahaha. ha. Tee-hee.

  • brought here by rock band Oasis

  • We used to trip to this one in the 70`s!

  • @zombywoof100 Hahaha,,, You and me both. 8-)

  • Klaatu's songs were heavy on bass... and I find many of them were mystic messages with experimental sounds, like the Magical Mystery Tour era. It's hard to pick any of Klaatu''s songs, the one sounding most like the Beatles would beSub Rosa Subway

  • We Miss U Paul...

  • They don`t sound like The Beatles at all.

  • @Zactra73 No but Paul McCartney/ Wings maybe ?

  • These guys were mistaken for the Beatles????? Give me a break.

  • @PackfaninTx Some Klaatu stuff does sound a little like the stuff the Beatles were doing individualy in the seventies...this could pass as a wings track yes?

  • Fantastic tune. I have fond memories of cruising around in my 72 cutlass cranking this tune out. Taped it off the LP that is still kicking around. Anus of Uranus rules!

  • They kind of remind me of Blue Oyster Cult .

  • @wooptefreakindo me too.

  • i used to have this album on record dam just aged myself..lol

  • It turned out to be a bunch of studio musicians in Canada. And yes, for a few weeks, it was spreading like wildfire that this might be the Beatles. DJs were doing lengthy phone-ins from listeners and 'experts' to debate whether it was them or just a band that sounded like the Beatles.

  • had 3.47 some anus from earth ripped it off..great version.

  • are these guys still around??

  • There is actually a pretty big crowd out that believes that they were The Beatles.

    You tell me? =)

  • @IntroSpectre6x3 I never believed they were the Beatles but I think they were very creative....

    deserved more recognition.

  • I'm too young to have believed it myself, but it was always an interesting suggestion to people who were fans longer, no?

  • @IntroSpectre6x3 Sure..I agree.

  • @IntroSpectre6x3 Actually 'The Beatles Rumor' was started either right after or right before the 1st album was released (I *think* the rumor was more DJ & critic based pre-release! (Anyone?). And it was 'What would they be doing/sound like now, 7(?) years after the breakup' and listening to the 1st couple albums, I still hear some Beatle-like riffs and vocals.

  • yea, I had that album, it had no credits on it at all

  • Um...yes! But, we were young, and teenagers believing in something we thought was wild...they were just so damn good..."class of 79'

  • Loved this song when I first heard it... Still do today.

  • one of the best songs on the best album klaatu made loved this as a kid and still do

  • WMG not getting this one!

  • gotta love the song title.

  • somebody must send this to Tomas Skogsberg

  • Man I used to love rockin the neighbourhood with this one! :D

  • My anus is full of methane gas. Maybe Uranus is, too.

  • Indeed it is.

  • Is there music on your anus? I heard Uranus was made up of gas. My son s there is a canyon on Uranus, full of methane gas.

  • wow this song is just beautiful man i wish they made music in the late 60s and early 70s too man it would have been so good

  • Great bass in this song :)

  • this is the only LP of theirs i ever bought. it's terrific! i still listen to the songs all the time!

  • cheers;-)

  • Not too many songs with anus in the title.

  • right

  • Has anyone heard the "backwards" version of this? ReStartMusic has posted that song, too. It's called "Silly Boys"

  • you can find them at klaatu (dot) org

  • The lyrics are 2078 the music is 1978... John Lear is right

  • Thanks for turning me on to Klaatu in their greatness! I only have 1 LP, so it's nice to hear the stuff I don't have! Very cool.

  • Way back in the day we found this album while we were party'n.

We put it on the turn table and rocked out.

    Not many people in

    Warren(out) Ohio

    have ever heard this song.

    I think it is AWESOME!

    Have always LOVED it!

  • Hey Muchacho: thanks for the posting, it's awesome. H.P.H.

  • One of my favourite's when I was 14 yrs old back in 1975. I played this in my bedroom on my record player when I lived in Toronto, Ontario. I played it as loud as I could without blowing the speakers. Brings back great memories. C.C.Baker, Botwood, Newfoundland, Canada

  • Another example of fine Canadian rock.......eh!!!

Got the CD of this, great cruising down the hiway with this blasting from the speakers.
