@Heidibear76 Firstly I am English and echo your sentiment of congratulations for both Russia and Qatar.

However, not only is Russia in Europe (and Asia) but the 2018 WC WILL be in the European part of Russia. Brazil is in South America which has hosted the WC on a number of occasions. In fact the trend was to alternate between Europe and South America.

In America I believe you have "world series" sporting events where only Teams from the US are allowed to enter?????? Please correct me,

I am actually an avid football fan (and not american football, I am not even american) - and yes, I have taken the time read and understand about the pros and cons of having in Qatar and in my opinion, I don't think it was the right choice by FIFA. That being said, I wish nothing but the best to Qatar and hopefully they prove me wrong.

We need to congratulate and wish Qatar the best. It is our culture, to take off our hat and congratulate the other side, even when we lose. Fantastic! I'm an American and I say:"Good job Qatar!" It's called the "WORLD" Cup not "One Nations Cup". I have to admit, I was disappointed by the decision, but it makes sense. FIFA's choice of South Africa, Brasil, Russia and now Qatar shows that Europe and the Americas aren't the only countries on the face of this earth. "Been there - Done that" is what FIFA's trying to say. Give someone else the chance to host the games for once. Russia & Qatar will do a great job in hosting : )
