It's NOT a smartphone, so you can't install any 3rd-party applications. Who pays over € 300,- for a non-smartphone these days?!

Second, no wifi? What? No wifi?!

Third, what an awfully childish font and theme! If I understand correctly they are not changeable, so Samsung pretty much made this phone unusable for people that are over 12 years old.

I really can't believe Samsung is still doing so well in the phone-business, as in selling so much crap phones

If we have computers for wifi, then why not remove all functions except calling and sending text messages? After all, we have computers for all the other stuff right? A smartphone should be an alternative to a computer when there's no computer at hand. Thus it should have wifi, especially for people that don't have a data contract.

And about the font; chances are that you actually like it, but I know for sure a lot of people don't, and then it would be nice to change it

1. In terms of screen quality .. Currently, either the iphone, or the upcoming Samsung Omnia HD.

2. Camera quality .. Currently, I would say Nokia N82 (5 megapixel+ Xenon Flash) or Sony Ericsson C905 (8 megapixel+xenon flash)

Battery sucks with vibrate on, every time you press a button the phone vibrates, turn that off, and you have a decent battery life.

It's because it's the hybrid version of the Omnia. It got the upgraded 8mp camera but they took the wifi out from the Pixon. Probably since using 3G you don't really need the wii anymore.

I was really torn between the LG Renoir and the Samsung Pixon too. But due to past experiences with both brands i found Samsung a much more reliable brand to myself and my own uses of it. Also, after shifting through countless reviews, i also found myself more inclined towards the Pixon, which pretty much verified my desicion. The PIXON ftw.

actually i find samsung to be much slower in terms of txting and sending n recivin data,lg has alwas delivered, wth nice loud speakers n more than average battery life, unfortunatelly the viewty wasnt as i though it would, but the renoir looks much better than the pixon, i dont like dat they dont cover their lenses, one of the most important things from them is its lens, pixon did nice, especially on prof. schneider krezuznach lenses it dissapointed me a lil renoir . scores is lg 6 n pixon 5.5

The xenon flash on the Renoir is not up to much going by the l8test reviews while the duel led on the Pixon is more than up to the job in any light, tv out is a feature on the Sammy and all reports have the LG camera as by far the poorest out of Pixon,Innov8 and the 8mp Sony. Combine this with the Renoir's over sensitive or not responsive touchscreen then you can see this is no serious competition to the Pixon. My decision is made and my Pixon arrives monday, cant wait!!!

It looks very good, expecially for the camera quality (I've seen the samples on the site). Some questions about:

1. Can I use it as a gps navigator (such a tomtom) or the gps is only for the geotagging?

2. Has it the TV-out?

3. Can I change the default font used in the interface? (it sucks!)

if the answers to my questions are positive, I will buy it... otherwise I will buy an Omnia :)
