  • Very good editing, next, might wanna try and get rid of all the dead footage that isnt showing nothing. Instead of showing it for lets say 6 seconds, take it down to 2 seconds. Still, very good.

  • while working on a farm the farmer MUST be very carefull to avoid a "HARROWING" experience :-)

Cheers, and thanks for all the food you grow for me!

  • what's the different's between planting oats peas and wheat ?? and do you plant corn???

  • @psypc3 well whereas most farmers will plant their small grains for seed we plant ours for hay so instead of harvesting the grains from the stalk we bale it all up, the climate where I live in the hills is far too dry for corn but there are several farmers in the valley that can irrigate and do grow corn for silage

  • what are you going to plant? and this operation that you are doing what it is for?

I am new in the farming industry and i need a few tips,so i am wondering if i cant ask you.I also have a jonh deere 2040 with some tools but only minor ones.

  • @psypc3 well we planted oats peas and millet in this field, what im doing is harrowing... purpose being both to break up clumps so the seeds have an easier time sprouting and pull the dirt over the furrows to hold in moisture

  • do people ever recognize you on the street irl?

  • @fibulator actually yes, Ive had a few people ask me about my videos

  • Great Job on the editing. And wat kinda carb does that international run . Wat size motor in the international too?

  • @MegaMoto4 thanks and its running a 260 inline six with a single barrel holley, all bone stock

  • another great video, thanks for keeping us updated, cheers bro

  • the model A deere needs to go in the shop then the bronco

  • i really find all this fascinating. here in rhode island we have nothing like the vast expanse of fields you have out in montana. i could watch something like this all day (if i only had the tme).

  • if you want to sell thatold international pick up let me know man id love to buy it

  • Liked the camera angle at 7:14 !

  • you growin heroing?wow wayne may not want to advertise that too well the popo might be watching lol

  • everything here in nc is no till. i havn't seen a farmer disking a feild in years.

  • @rhigh100 ahh were not really farmers per sei so we kinda make do with the older methods for our hay fields

  • ive been wondering, do you live in the middle of nowhere or sumthing lol, never seen anything close by lol

  • @1987chevroletcaprice well some people would say so, I live 23 miles from the town of sidney, population about 5000

  • Looks like you're becoming a real documentary type. And 12 hours on a tractor, that must have been a *harrowing* experience.

  • @heliarche indeed it does, 12 hours going round and round a dusty field on a cabless tractor is just about enough to drive a man to tears

  • editing looks good

  • editings real nice, very pleasant to watch

  • editing was awesome wayne keep it up!!!!!!!

  • The editing was awesome wayne! keep up the good videos!

  • pretty cool wayne, lots of hard work

  • good job editing! you did nice work!

  • Cheer's Wayne, Thanks for the reply. So your Making Hay from Cereals?..Never hear of it done before, but thats what I love about youtube we get to see farming practices from all over the world.

  • The editing was AMAZING. I loved it. Love that old JD too man. Keep up the great work.

  • @TheOregonRedneck usually late september to october

  • your vids are getting better all the time bud thanks and keep up the good work

  • i really liked the vid the fading clips are sweet keep up the good work

  • @TheChevy3500hd well the grader will get fixed eventually but its kinda hard to put a timetable on it till I get some other work finished, weve had the harrows since 1975 or 76 they are a 30' and all the harrowing together takes about a week or so to finish

  • Really like the video (from sunday) with the short clips. Thought the fading in clips were sweet but the different clips that just bounced back and fourth were ok too. Looked pretty good when you get the clips to flow together like the shot of the tire and the trator slowing down then the shot from the other camera when you pull up with the tractor and stop.

  • @98eck thanks dude, I absolutely agonized over how to get that just right, with the short clips I was trying to get that flowing progression of the tractor moving from place to place with the different shots in sequence, Ive seen that in a movie or TV show somewhere but I was really worried that I wouldnt capture the view that I wanted

  • @wagner59270 Its annoyes me enough just trying to edit from one camera sometimes lol, can't image trying to bounce back and fourth and keeping which clip from which camera goes next during editing.

  • Nice editing.

  • I heard a story on the radio about the grasshoppers/locust are supposed to be pretty bad in SD, WY and MT this year. Are you worried about your hay? Is there anything you can do to protect it from them critters?

  • @dLimboStick well we can spray but that just adds to the cost of making the hay so usually we dont, at which rate theres not alot we can do to control it

  • Great Video Wayne. Tell me this, you were seeding for Grass last year as well, have you to reseed every year? or do you do different fields in rotation? Its smack Bang middle of re seeding season here in Ireland at the moment.

  • @Makemyday0126 well we actually put in oat and barley seed and cut it for hay just as it gets into the milk, so yes we have to reseed every year that we plant small grains hay, however the field below the house will go into alfalfa next year so we sont have to seed that one after that for another 4-5 years

  • wow that was some real kick ass editing!

  • sorry if im dumb but what is the 59270 anyways??

  • @therockkkkher Thats his Zip code

  • @therockkkkher oh no worries its just my zip code

  • Yea Wayne good job on the harrowing, what the you gonna plant? We got corn down here in Cary, NC coming up, mines about 8 inches tall.

  • @Deereman1010 got oats going in, I was supposed to be in the field today but it dropped about 3/4" of rain on us just as I was getting in the field

  • Now what exactly does harrowing do?

  • @norfolkdash9 picture it as a big rake to break up any hard clumps and spread any leftover mulch

  • @wagner59270

    Ah ok I see.

  • Lol, the kitty had to interject there at the beginning.

  • you should get the madol A fix and use that to pull the rake

  • Cool been there done that Great vid

  • You're on your way to becoming an official "perfeshunnel" videographer--great job!

  • @batterymaker LOL love the spelling dude and thanks

  • Good Vid Wayne , keep it up

  • @TheChevy3500hd the 2240 is a 1973 and it does havea bucket but we took it off for planting season, dont like it flopping around in the field

  • I've been having similar issues with the wind. I really gets irritating when it's nice and sunny out, but too windy for filming. That old truck fired right up.

  • Great editing! Worth the effort. Like the harrow vantage point of view shot. I think you will have your own show on RFD channel before long.

  • its mad wayne ya see all the other videos with 200 hp tractors with gps n all sorts of toys struggling n the wee deere doesn even break a sweat. great vid

  • nice editing , looks like you need to get a bigger tractor for that much land

  • @carrabec99 ahh yes it would be nice but big tractors cost big money so for the time being the biggest tractor we have is the 4230

  • That's some good editing. Does it take a while to get used to pulling the drag?

  • @FunwithFarmToys oh its not too bad, i dont hit near as much stuff with the wings as I did when I started doing this about 20 years ago LOL

  • @wagner59270 One of my great uncles told me that the first time he pulled a 70' drag he hit a fence.

  • Nice video! looks like you are having a good time.

  • Do you use any lead additive in your fuel for the old International truck?? If so what do you use??

  • @talfacprez nope I do not, Ive run unleaded in many vehicles without hardened seats without problems but I guess if it breaks thatll give me a good reason to do a valve jobs

  • @wagner59270 Thanks, I would use additives in my 1959 D12 Allis Chalmers, but we had to sell our property a few years ago and the tractor went with the property. (sniff sniff)

  • cant go wrong with a deere

  • @brendonk01 aint that the truth
