Testament would replace Metallica in the big 4 in my opinion. Metallica is the one of the big 4 that Testament has most in common with, imo. The biggest difference however is that Testament is better. Therefor, they replaces Metallica. I would also replace Slayer (they're too repetitive) with Overkill, but that's not really the same kind of thrash, so I say Dark Angel instead. Slayer is kindergarten in fast thrash / speed metal compared to Dark Angel.

When I listen to bands such as this, I think to myself whether or not I could conceive or create something as amazing as what I'm hearing. I have a very high opinion of myself and my ability to create music, but there will always be artists and songs in particular that I figuratively bow to. By that measure, Testament was amazing in that they knew they were 'on their own' with their style and subject matter. For that, I continue to adore them. Cheers all!
