  • Snoopenny has spoken for me, for us.. So good luck :D

  • I just played Horowitz, Pollini and Pogorelich and he is the polar opposite of course, but he is oozing passion and emotion and I was in tears that someone so young is expressing himself so beautifyly and forcefully

. You have to love him. How can anyone be negative toward his nascent talent. Good luck whoever you are.

  • WELL DONE!!!

  • I think he need to grow up then play this music again.it will make a differnece.

  • Too be fair he can play but he is still to young to play with the passion it deserves

  • Sweet, but he plays it to hard ! That's Chopin, not Rachmaninoff or something like that. But for this age, it's really good ! But if he'll try to play it ones more in 7/8 years, it'll go better, I think so. :)

  • this kid sucks ass

he just pounds on the keys

  • my guess is that he and his parents went to a piano department store, his parents pulled out there 10$ camera and shot it, then the two praents and the salesman forcibly clapped at the end.

  • he totslly exaggerates the gesture.

sure, u shall feel the music, but this boy just saw how bro's do n he doenst even knowe why, so he just does so....ridiculous

  • Great, but, in my opinion, he rushed those last chords too much.

  • This kid sucks ass

He just pounds on the keys

  • This kid sucks ass

he just pounds on the fuckin keys

  • Ugh, this is so awful. His playing is very ugly. At certain parts he just pounds on the keys and the notes sound so muddled.

I've said it before: children should stick to pieces that develop their technical skills, and should not attempt emotional pieces like these. Especially nocturnes, which require a touch of delicacy

  • @OriginalBasaliskos I'm thoroughly impressed by his performance actually, the ability to take my favourite Nocturne and completely butcher it is a talent I don't think anyone can truly achieve like him. The piece doesn't become more emotional the harder you hit the keys and at some parts I can't even understand what's going on because ever voice is so loud that not one single melody stands out. Great job kid, you re-killed Chopin :D

  • hehe.... hes like a spinning top! turn, turn, turn!!!

  • People are croduols. xD You must heard that, in audio plays low octaves, in video this 'super' boy play high octaves. Imposters. ;]

  • @Mroziak7 sorry sir. but you are a fucking retard. show me one scene in this video, where he plays low octaves while the sound makes high octaves. i just guess you dont have a fucking clue about musics. so stfu

    according to this playing:

sorry, but this interpretation ist just mindblowing bad. kids with his age shouldn play chopin pieces because it is necessary to play with emotions. you should play bach or mozart to learn technique and then go on to chopin when you have grown up.

  • @zEXXXY I'm really sorry about that... Now I can play it and I know what moves are need to play this beautiful song of my Poland compatriot. :) Sorry.

  • nice skills, but scaring moves for a child...

someone tell him it looks ugly

  • Stop moving like this...I gonna... seriously, you're loosing a lot of energy by moving this way... very disturbing...also, check out your "tempi" please!!

  • Es genial. Emocionante. Saludos, ARIEL, desde argentina.

  • I have only good things to say about this. I am 27 and i have barely learned the first part. I am very jealous. Somebody shoud get him a little tuxedo.( with tails)

  • i am going to be 27. I am still not able to memorize it. the same feeling , jealous...

  • I like it! It's wonderful. It's a very powerful and a very different interpretation.

  • wow!

  • wow he's good for his age.

but he doesn't need to thump the keys..!!!

    :) well done though.

  • A baby genius. dynamics will get better as he gets older but this is awesome!

  • What really is sad about this, is that the kid probably doesn't know why he's doing all this waving. I guess he was just told what to do and when to do it. Like a machine, in a way.

    To the playing itself:

DAMN! That boy is GOOD! Despite all little mistakes. i wish i could play like that^^

  • the waving comes naturally. Why would anyone tell him to wave? It's not beneficial at all.

  • lol yea he doesnt know why he`s putting in dynamical fluctuations and correct rubato either. lol correct but uninformed rubato

  • Crap. He's nearly standing!

  • Um, fail, was it?

  • what do you expect? i think he learned it buy ear. obviously there isnt any sheet music.

  • thats a lot of notes to learn by ``ear``. how about by someone pointing out all the notes to him?

  • Bravo babyboy!!!! xxx

  • Nicely played but moving unneccesarily. His continuous, exaggerated movements don't really correspond to the flow of the music. He's forcing himself to move about and not moving from the feeling of this piece.

  • LOL! The kid's about 6 years old, can hardly reach the stall, he's playling Chopin and you're put off by his...swaying?!! maybe if he juggled at the same time that might be enough to impress ya, huh?

  • not bad actually.

i play it at 22 and mine is perhaps not too much better than his

  • nice try, but too young for this piece

  • hmm. my first thought: he's not sitting on the chair!

i thought it sounded alright, for an eight year old. but then again i'm not in a position to judge..

  • if he is indeed too young to play this piece, stop judging him as if he were an adult...

  • He is too young to feel this piece of music. He must grow up to this.

  • OMFG...

  • :) though it's strange that a teacher would let a child of his age play this piece, and like many others had said he didn't capture the beauty of this piece perfectly, but just look at how he's enjoying it! he's feeling the music even though he could not physically transpose the feelings to his playing but it's not easy for anyone to play with such adoration for a piece!

  • :) There are a lot of things we can pick out on his playing. When I was his age I was developed in techniques, but was nowhere near having emotions. At least he understands there are emotions to be involved, and tries to display that. Of course it wasn't perfect, but saying that he exaggerates or stretches the music out too much is just way too cynical. Let's not forget that the kid is about 8 years old.

  • Bloody fantastic.

  • he is very talented....but this piece needs more care, a lighter touch in more areas nocturne maens 'of the night' but this dosent set much of an atmosphere for me., Hes not quite ready for chopin. The dynamics aren't right, in bar 49 there should be a diminuendo, pay closer attention.

  • I admit he has talent, but Chopin is still to hard for him. His teacher shouldn't let him play this, since it's bad for the development to play pieces that are to hard for you. Above all, he plays far to fast to make it worthy to listen to (unless you can handle that pace).

Ofcourse, It's good to play a piece that is a bit above your might, (that's how you learn to play) . I hope his teacher and himself will make some better choices next time, and he'll put up a beautifull performance.

  • he has done some changes but it's ok..he is also too good...i'm older than he is and i'm trying to learn that but it's too difficult...he has a very big talent...

  • Ual...he is so wonderful....is so young but a big boy....his soul shows....

  • Wow... Extremely well done. The sitting position must make pedalling awkward. With practice I hope to play half as good. What grade is this piece?

  • I might be wrong but I believe it's ABRSM grade 7 and RCM grade 9.

  • ARBSM grade 8 haha nice song what is he age ?

  • great 8 ARBSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a challenging piece and I won't deny that the kid has talent, but I think he still needs more time before he can develop a more mature, emotionally sincere interpretation.

There are just some things with playing piano that you can't learn without personal experience and time.

  • i agree with you...

and that kid has a BIG talent...

  • not the best piece for you to play, darling.Big minus to your teacher:(

  • I'd rather hear someone play something thats easy for them, but play it good, than to hear someone play something thats hard for them, but play it bad.

  • whoa...

  • wtf he plays fast at teh parts where he knows and slow where he doesent. to much fake emotion and loud! this is grade 9 ur only 8 so stop playing it

  • Well it is his interpretation. And I appreciate it for that, I'm not saying he has the perfect version or his version is better than anyone elses...

Why should he stop doing what he likes just because you don't think he's good?

  • J'ai 9ans jai aprris a jouez ca a 6ans

  • oh god! You are talented!!!

Great job! You feel the music!

  • they have to lower that seat!

  • people people all of you need to lighten up this little guy is only 8 years old and plays the piano better than most adults so relax take it for what it is and enjoy

  • i can barely play the Easier version. T.T

  • @o@

  • If only he didnt move about half as much, i would've appreaciated it more

  • not as good as vladimir horrowitz. try something like football. not music

  • Hmmmm... played a G instead of an F in the bass of the first note of Bar 15. Not good enough mate. :D

    This amazing. Keep it up!

  • wow... look at the amount of soul he pours into it... his body lenguage says a lot. well done kiddo

  • I am playing this piece, and I love it. I am going to an audition with it. He is awesome, but needs to work on technical contrast and control of the piano. Good job kid.

  • hes a young kid lighten up dont be jealous !

  • o.o, i'm speechless

  • not often do we hear a young person play more than just notes--showing off technique=but here, we have some musicianship. Wonderful.

Good, good, for him. I hope he stays with it.

There could have been more dynamic contrast, but that may be the fault of the piano, not letting him to get a real p or pp out of it.

Keep it up, relax, and let the piano really sing, if it can--but it takes a top tier piano to do that. In the mean time, stay with it and listen to lots of Horowitz.

  • Are you kidding? There are many 5- 11 year olds playing really difficult technical pieces it's ridiculous.

  • i'm 12 and i'm playing it

  • that super duper Bunniesocks

because I learned this piece when i was 9

(im not bragging, im just saying that the world doesnt revolve around you because you learned this when you were 12)

  • I didn't say the world revolved around me, well at least I didn't mean to make it sound that way...it's too bad you think that though.

I just kinda feel proud that I can play Chopin, I mean music is for the love and enjoyment of everyone.

Plus I just wanted to reply to the comment above stating that "not often do we hear a young person play more than just notes".

  • "I learned this piece when i was 9"

Isn't that just like what I said up there, and you're critisizing me for it...

  • hi! I learn this piece at the moment, too. But I think I'll never play it as wonderfull as you!

    Very good!

  • >almost perfect ... his only 8

    >perfect ... Jorge Bolet's rendition .. his 68

  • It's so cute, he's so tiny he's almost slipping off the chair. Really good for his age too.

  • Awesome interpretation. What a mature sound for a child! I learned this piece just a couple of years ago as one of my audition pieces to get into music school.

  • beautiful.I like the way you listen to the bass

  • He can play more emotionally on this piece then I can or ever will (0.0)

  • amazing

  • he is so cute o.O

  • How the hell is this possible? lol. Crazy.

  • Its a wonderful interpretation! O.O i love hearing Chopin beeing played this way, and i guess only a kid can do that, so its a rare opportunity

  • don't misunderstand me but is this boy an what we call in germany "autist" (another word is savant i think) i can not believe how beautiful you're playing

  • This is an amazing prodigy. I just can't see how he does it with the seat so high up. Incredible!

  • OK. He is actually 45 years old. He is one of those "short guy".

  • lol XD

  • aww cute ^^ . that's next year ABRSM grade 8 exam piece list C!

  • i've heard different versions of this piece. but i must say i really like how you played this nocturne. you just need a lil bit more practice. Very good job ariel dont change the way you play it.

  • Very impressive for a child of his age. But yes, way too much rubato, almost amounting to distortion of the piece. Not at all what Chopin wanted.

  • really good!!! But I think the stool is too high!!

  • Not really, he cant reach the pedal if he sits, so he just leans on it ^^U

  • Too much rubato in some parts but this is quite good for a kid. I also heard a clear mistake when he played G instead of F i believe, Yes! And is this how every kid must sit if he/she wants to use the pedal?

  • I'd say its really good for a 10 year old kid. And he could use a pedal extender but I guess he didn't have one.

  • wow! That is amazning!!! Is it really REAL????

  • Yes its real, its played by ariel copland from isreal.

  • OMG!

  • insaneee!
