after only one season of use his bindings dont stay in place he has to tighten his setup every run. i dont trust this ics hype. they discontinued it on forum and capita for a reason, right?
i just rode my brand new 2010 joystick with ics, 2010 malavita bindings, sadly my friends lost my 2010 ions tht id never used!! so had to use smelly rentals, and it is the best board ive ridden honestly! fast, agile, realy buttery feel, but stiffens up at speed!
if you purchased the entire package from a shop they should have sent you the mounting hardware you should not ever have to purchase separate hardware.
Can someone explain what ICS is? I found a thin box in a parking lot the other day, that says "ICS Kit" on it, made by Burton. Opened it up and there were two disc looking objects. I ain't a boarder so if these are worth something I wouldn't mind selling these on eBay. What are these disc objects and what do they do? Are they worth much?
Those are the converter dics for people who do not own EST bindings and they come free with every ICS board so really you could try and sell them but since you can get the for free you might have a hard time finding buyers.
still skeptical. is this really such an improvement or mere burton hype? i'd like to hear testimonials from some riders who are not well known burton shills
our shop has seen little warranties regarding the ICS system and what really made it fun for me was the ability to really fine tune my angles . If you ride 100+ days a year then you will feel a difference but if you are a weekend warrior you will have no idea the difference between a regular binding and an EST binding... the stance angles and width are in my opinion the best feature of the SET system.
its kind of ridiculous though cause theres only like 3 bindings you can use with the system and the cheapest is like 250$ burton cartels, its good, but not enough to go make me buy a whole new expensive setup.
you can use your old binder on an ICS board as well... burton will even give you a special disc to get those old binders to work. other companies do have discs that work but you need to contact them to get it. So no you do not have to buy the EST bindings for a ICS board.
to expensive for burton boards if they weren't so expensive i wouldnt be rocking step child board :P\

the Forum and Capita solutions were different than burtons, and give a little lock tight a try and see if it helps your issue

I'm rockin an X8 this season with the ICS and some Un.Inc. bindings. Super smooth ride and real light for hucking in the park.
