  • Are they going to put that on sale???? I want one!!!

  • i guess, i might try google chrome sometimes

  • @Qazibasit trust me... more functions, convenient, and much much faster on Google chrome.

  • it is sad to see all this technology and Internet Explorer right there in the middle ha

  • @ferdinandcobain i am still using an explorer, since the first day of my browsing in late 90s

  • @qazibasit And may I ask you WHY?? You're missing out...

  • @andrewyang1993 it can do all that a browser needs to do..... am happy with it, another theory is that why do ppl hate explorer, why dont they stop using microsoft then?

  • @qazibasit people hate explorer because of the things it cant do

I dislike it because of how it works over though ie8-9 arent that bad i just want more out of the browser since its open 24/7

And when/if you get a virus Explorer keeps you from using the net where's other browsers do not

  • @ImaniGray Download a fucking anti virus software stupid. Why does people keep complaining about Virus? Are they retarded enough to not install a proper anti virus software perhaps? I never had virus since 2004 and I download allot of shit everyday

  • Am I the only one who wants to know where the video running on the Laptop comes from???

  • Great... now everyone can see what your doing on your laptop -__-

  • This will be great for when i want to stare at the wall behind my computer! Jerks

    >.>

  • can they see what you're watching from behind the screen?

because you'd be fucked if you're watching porn >:o

  • Holy fuck would that every strain the shit out of your eyes.

  • >Car windshield

    >Now costs $5,000 for a new windshield

  • @WalterSwartz the windshield on my dads RV already costs that, without any tech.

  • VEGETA! WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVEL?

but seriously make me a fucking scouter.

  • just add the touch feature to that..

  • If it would be transparent from only one side, I would just place my webcam right behind it.

  • cant buy it yet my ass, ill steal it and bring it to school and amaze everyone

  • soon it will be touch sensiteve

  • why would u want it to be transparent?

  • @solhasse Not very useful for a laptop, but like he said imagine having your car's windshield be a computer screen. Shiiiiiiiit-

  • @Sukuraidogai the new texting and driving :)

  • imagine watching porn

  • This could be on my bedroom windows or bathroom mirrors lol

  • bey bey porn!!!!!!

  • New Meaning to WINDOWS! lol

  • just to be "clear", this is still in R&D...

  • @metallicais1337 anyone else catch that?

  • NICE WALLPAPER LOL!

  • this would be cool on car windshields

then i could watch movies while driving :)

  • @leotheloser ...and when you run over some people you'll be in a prison with jamal and hose..giving them a nice BJ in the showers :)

  • @babaz7 groovy :)

does that come free with oled windshields :)

  • @babaz7 jamal and jose give me bjs all the time. :|

    whats the big deal faggot.

  • @leotheloser you have no come back so you call me a faggot? your name sujjests who the real faggot is LOSER!!

  • @babaz7 oh yeah

    well YOUR GAY

  • @leotheloser and your a DICK SUCKER

  • the rejecT faiR....

  • i want a 25" screen of that

  • pantalla transparente by OLED xD

  • now i want it as my windsheild tint

  • @TheTumbleNuts no! you WILL be able to change the Opakness and Transparency levels. so it's really not a BIG DEAL. So sit

  • @DanielAvilaAGT so you have any proof though? Because it seems like the screens are made in certain opacity. Sure you can change the opacity of the image thats processed inside the computer but it seems like the opacity is hardware related.. So unless you explain me, thats what i think.

  • why would he want a hot dog the hot dogs at CES are green

  • it would be terrible, think about watching a movie

  • It's got Windows 7 Installed! HOT DOG! <3

  • The guy said everything:

    FREAKING AMAZING!

  • you can't watch porn on this screen..

  • now the glare is coming behind the screen too ..

  • that is what the next iphone should be like

  • wow dats some hollywood military movie stuff

  • The future is here.

  • HOLY SHIT THAT JUST GAVE ME A MASSIVE HARDON JUST LOOKING AT THAT TRANSPARENT DISPLAY!!!!

  • Sooooooo Fake!!!! Already been done on Avatar!

  • @Supertoefur What?

  • yo das some gangsta ashitr

  • Avatar is almost real

  • I've seen this tech on store window signs..full motion video instead of static ads

  • wait, whats the point of this

  • why would i want it to be transparent, i want my blacks to be black

  • @ratpimples hahahahahaha...m brown..so i want my brown to be brown

  • @mitsri1991

    are u high

  • Ze future. Embrace it.

  • thats cool and all how in the hell am I suppose to watch porn now!

  • @spike18234 LMFAO...lolol

  • So, Basically, its just a standard LCD without its back? Wow, Lot of Innovation, Who needs holographic screens when you can have a LCD without its back thus making it see through.

  • Damn, that's cool!

  • few questions go into this kind of tech, this is REALLY BIG in terms of that whole

"remember that sifi movie? omg we have that now" factor

but whats got me already thinking is

can this same tech as it is now support multi touch? or is that not after a lot of innovation first

and for the none glasses stereoscopic 3d found on things like the 3DS could this kind of screen do that? or once again off by a few years of innovation

i know this computer cant, but can the tech as is be capable of that?

  • @jokergallagherTV yes it can. There's another video where one of the creators is elaborating on a tv display of this. and he says that it's possible to have this with out the need of 3d glasses and multi touch as well. I strongly believe the iPhone 5 or 6 will have this type of mechanism.

  • You all do realize that you CANNOT see what is being shown from the reverse side of the screen right?

    hurr durr privacy issues

  • Privacy !? JFC. People all over the world use twitter as a public announcement support for when they go to take a dump. I think people like other people to know what they're doing ( although nobody bucking cares about your stupid ass band or movie that you've just discovered. Really. Buck off and jerk it in the bathroom with the door locked ). This is going to be BIG.

  • Useless, it will completely eliminate something known as privacy!

  • dude thats fucking cool

  • un computador cualquiera k le sacan la carcasa media novedad yo tengo mi pc sin cacasa y se ve 10000000 veses mejos k el de ese qlo

  • An iphone with that transparent screen would be epic and cool.

  • they should defenitly think about investing in this technology and similar products such as the intel 3D touhdisplay as seen at the CES: 2009 showcase. we have the technology but nobody is or has really bring this stuff to life. i mean real life, for people and buisnesses, not just rich people and those lucky enough to try this out,and also it could create a whole new market. also is good for the environment .....OLED :)

  • @t0mb0mb4 Yes they have, Samsung (the creators of this prototype) have released an MP3 player that has a transparent screen. Came out earlier this year. i don't think it's in the USA tho. I know US get usually last of eveything because takes a while cause I've been told we make a lot of money fromo these things in the US. Like texting and stuff, for example, was already inputted in phones in the 90s and when did US get them? early 00s

  • The only thing i care about is when this guys balls will drop, so his voice gets deeper

  • Or put it in high res HD goggles and make some sort of augmented reality software :)

  • not suitable for youngster

  • OMG ITS VINCE OF SLAPCHOP!

  • from avatar? isn´t society so one direction oriented today? for I don´t know how long I have seen transparent screens in every sci-fi media... but whatever

  • 0:41 Japanese guy is like: "Bah, Ord technorogy, we have dis since da sebenties"

  • Awesome.. BUT, how to create black on this panel ;)

  • wwwwoooooowwwwww

  • All good things are always in R&D... god... damnit.

  • 0:41 - the asian man standing next to him thinking: "damn we have this since 50 years, so who cares?"

  • @herograffitiart 50 years ago Korea was in war with North Korea man. Know your history.

  • @herograffitiart no, you can tell by his face that he obviously just wants a hot dog ;) :P

  • Finally!

  • Good, now do that in 24" with 2550x1600 and I am buying it.

  • The resolution is kind of weak, but at least it's a start

  • this is for public places and 3d tvs without glasses on the future

  • Awesome.

  • PC is the future of technology.

  • ovo je zgodno.

  • If they made a windshield out of one of these, it would be possible to use a gps and 2 gyroscopes ( one on your head to get where your eye level is, and one in the car to get the offset/vehicle orientation ) to overlay a travel route directly on your windshield. It would look like google's street view route overlay, but in real life. I think that would be amazingly useful. It could also show the roads around you, with road names, places to eat, etc. This would be an amazing technology for cars.

  • @shoffing yeah, i think the chevorlet zo6 has one :)

  • Comment removed

  • I dunno if it was just the camera they used to film, or whether it's my monitor, but the colours in the icons looked quite dodgy. If so, this kinda technology would be pretty awesome for your normal everyday stuff, while keeping an eye on the kids or whatever, but as soon as you get into gaming, graphic design, etc... it's gonna fail, unless they somehow drastically improve the technology even further. But otherwise, this does look freakin' awesome! =]

  • pretty cool but no privacy

  • The future is coming. It's coming fast.

  • dont get me wrong, its pretty awesome, and annoying at the same time, anything passing behind your screen would be a distraction plus very difficult to focus on what u are reading/watching etc. im not trying to be picky or doggin on the technology but its not as practical as you think, just cool

  • Comment removed

  • If i was him i would have ran away with that...

  • this is truely the future to alot of stuff such as dashboard computers

  • why a laptop? though great technology, that is the worse use of it I have ever seen. there is one big advantage to oled - transparent and flexible substrates can be used. they didn't allow it to be flexible and there's no use for transparency in this application.

  • I think of the glasses you can make with this tech in the future

  • i want one, NOW

  • @EdIsSuperman go and get one...

  • @xjmdm it's not even got a name yet.

  • this would kick serious but as a 50'' wide screen pc monitor , than I could watch my 106' screen through it while I work!!!

  • holly crap the first thing i thought was AVATAR then he said avatar hahaha

  • Due to the low power consumption of OLED versus LCD, I'd say sandwiching two of them together, and having one act as a toggle between opaque and clear would take care of privacy issues. I would, however, love to see a multi-touchscreen tablet with clear OLED. That would be great :)

  • @darianknight They can display black pixels (or white or whatever color) to make it opaque.

  • I could use that on my glass wall! :D

  • ha ha ha i just dont get it.

i have been making video projectors for ages. you take any lcd and take the backing off and its see through then shine a light through into a lens.

anyway the reason it wasnt done before is probably because i can read backwards so there is no point in a see through screen. this is complete rubbish

  • i imagine this would be released with a removable black back panel. be silly not to.

seems like a standard oled screen just put onto clear plastic, still, looks cool

  • GOM PLAYERRRR

  • WOW

    more corporate

    SPAM

    SPAM

    SPAM

    SPAM

gives your product a bad image

  • korea ftw im definetely getting this but probably gonna be rlly expensive

  • would be rly cool as a window or windshield but i don't think it has any real use on a laptop

  • well most likely, laptop hardware will soon be able to fit in just the frame of that laptop, so you could take out the rest, i mean look at phones and ipods those are basicly have harware very close to computers but they are tiny! and touch screen would work on these i think.. im not sure exactly how touch screens work. omg, this is crazy. a few years ago i would have to you were crazy for telling me we were going to get things like this seemingly straight out of scifi movies

  • organic.......mmmmm yummy

  • yup its amazing, if im correct oleds are made and are safe for nature, and isn't like acid. oleds are so amazing they use less battery, can be flexible, and can be seethrough. oh i can't wait anyone got a spare time machine i would like to go ahead 20 years and use this amazing technology

  • those tight eyes people are cazy when it comes in technology...hehe

  • I want it be a windshield to my car... Pretty cool

  • that'd be cool, having your entire windshield like a GPS showing you the roads and all, with speedometer right there...

a target triangle and a couple of automatic machine guns would be nice too!

  • yeah and make car invisible too :p

    Like James Bond...

What if in the future there will be invisible car :P

  • theres a good chance invisible cars might happen, they wouldn't be very safe though... i would think

  • True xD

Nobody will know who ran on you -_-

    Thats not good LMAO

  • lol

  • show us behind it XD

  • Freaking awesome! ah? XD

  • I can use it on my CR! WOW!

  • This would be so cool to have as a window!

  • Sure! I really want to be distracted but whatever shit is behind the screen when I'm watching a movie!

  • Imagine: A new version of Electronic Battleship using one of these screens! It's like, "WHOAAAA! It's the Grim Reaper, dude! You have sank my Battleship!" J/K (Bill & Ted flashback; couldn't help it! Sowwy! NOT! J/K Cheers! :D ). Laters!

  • The future is here :)

Imagine transparent 3D screens without glasses

    They will come :)

  • questo e oltre amoled!

  • AWESOME!!!!!! It's just so cool!

  • If they took a bunch of these screens and placed them in layers they could make a 3D lab top that wouldn't require glasses.

  • @bloodvirus Funny :D

  • @bloodvirus yeah like... a thousand of them :)

  • @bloodvirus I would think that at only 40% transparency after 4 layers you only have around 2.56% transparency and it would become very very difficult to see the layers at the rear so doing this in layers isn't gonna work.

However if it was near 100% transparent, that would be great.

  • @bloodvirus yeah samsung said they'll be making that in a year or so.. i dont know if they're using the same technique as you mentioned but they are going to make it till end of 2011

  • @bloodvirus but the virtual depth would then be limited to the actual depth. That is a problem.

  • @bloodvirus they already have 3D TVs in the making that dont require glasses and it only uses 1 screen. basically, the "glasses" are already built into the screen, so u dont need to wear them! technology is so crazy now!

  • @bloodvirus LAPTOP you idiot! It's one word, and it's a "p" not a "b". How do people even think "labtop" makes any sense?

  • @bloodvirus it would be to hard to see the screens in the back

  • @bloodvirus

your a smart . I wish i was smart like that

  • @bloodvirus no

  • @bloodvirus yeah if only it were that simple huh

  • @bloodvirus but what would be to expensive to normal usage and also to big. also where are 3D tv which do not require glasses, but maybe not in your time you write your comment so greetings from the future :)

  • @Hekatonkheirus

Your retarded we do have 3D TV that you use without glasses

  • @bloodvirus do you have the money dude?

  • Nice invention, but impractical. For one, the colors are a bit dodgy when you have a transparent screen. Second, why would you even NEED a transparent screen?

  • A: It's a prototype B: it's technology as the guy said will be used in a number of applications like car screen, windows, glass walls etc... It is practical depending on where it's used.

  • one piece of the new mac is complete

  • Oh.. my.. god.. Future is here :D Soon those will be as big advesiment tablets on cities.

  • OMG NICE

  • Awesome, gonna cost a gazillion, but still, awesome :)

  • how the fuck am i going to watch porn in public now!

  • hehehehe!

  • Comment removed

  • charge others to watch with u

  • LMFAO Bro lolll ojhh man tjis had me rolling

  • @stevnx2 enjoy it with the crowd

  • @stevnx2 you don't ROFL)))) now you must share your movies with others =))))))

  • @stevnx2 just put some paper on the back xD

  • @stevnx2

    funny lol...

  • i want this with touch capabilities and a mirror on the back. in the bathroom would be awesome. brushing your teeth and watching YouTube... yeah

  • the screen is already avalible in high end hotel rooms where they put tv in bathroom. you can watch tv while taking a bath, if you turn it off it's just a mirror. i can see this technology applied to home office where you have floor to ceiling windows but i highly doubt people would use it on a laptop
