@liw213 NWA refused to return the deposit wrestlers had to put down for the belt in those days after Flair got fired while still the NWA champion, so Flair refused to hand over the belt. I think it was like 25,000 too so it wasn't chump change. He still has that Big Gold Belt because the money never was returned to him.

The Undertaker was relatively a new comer at the time even though he had stints in other organizations before coming to the WWF... and look at the talent around him... LEGENDS.. it's the smackdown title now, i think.

No it isn't. I've looked it up, and WCW got the title belt back and had it unified. After WCW went out of business, WWE took the Big Gold Belt design to create the WHC. It's a different belt. Just with the same basic design with a few changes.

Well, He and Piper had made good some years before (didn't last, lol) and he and Savage had probablyu brushed all that Mega Powers mess two years earlier under the carpet.

It IS weird seeing enemies save each others asses. Like when Taker ran down and saved Lesnar at one point! in 2003. or when he teamed with Warrior against Papa Shango and the Berzerker.
