@TheCBNtv isn't that the 9th ward? my friend's stepfather's a flood adjuster so showed me pics of the parts of the city that went thru katrina plus a book of houses that were gone or flooded (they live in duncan MS about 5 hrs from new orleans) we went there last august & april 4 jazz fest.
but you can't say GWB isn't the blame at all cause he is part to blame, the US government waited 5 days to get these people some help and even then it wasn't much help, when the tsunami crisis happened over seas we were there in two days to help those peoples but we can't be there to help our own taxpaying american people, that's bulls**t, the whole thing was just messed up and handled poorly
hey yea ur totally rite,,,i'm from mid city and me and my family had 2 move cuz the government didnt want to help us out,,,,i soooo dislike dah fuckin government....
Get your head out of your ass, doc. You may not like my politics, but I don`t like the policys that failed the people of this wonderful city. Blaming GWB is just a cop-out. The real blame belongs to those state and local legislators whose desire for "fairness" over-rode the need to build the levies properly in the first place. The next katrina may only be months away. Then who will you blame?..Obama?..I think probably not...BTW, I notice that you didn`t challenge any of my points..Peace
The wheels for this disaster were set into motion long before GWB was president. The levies, improperly built in the 60`s and 70`s, can hardly be blamed on Bush. Instead, you should blame local and state politicians whose liberal policys favoring minorities virtually assured that this would someday happen. New Orleans has been run by democrats for decades. So, unless your familiar with the local history of this area, keep your political opinions to yourself. This catastrophe was predictable!...

Why debate this? There's blame for all in this.

I lived in the city for 30 years Tim. Go sell your politics somewhere else. I voted for Bush twice and HELL is too good a place for him.

I am glad to see many residents chose to stay and rebuild. I wonder what the big "boom" sound was that the one gentalman's son described?
