I think that is smart becuse u are building that swithching layout and my layout is a 12ft by 12ft swithcing layout and sound makes it 10 times funner to operate. since you are larger engines with sound also i would consider putting a crossing on your main layout to play around with the horns
@Conrailfan1999 If this is my only layout update that you have seen you should probably watch one of my older ones since it shows my main layout. The layout shown here is only the switching layout of my entire layout. The main layout is going to have one crossing and the switch layout another. Since i don't have a huge layout not really a need for a large number of locomotives.
@Conrailfan1999 I am planning on going all sound. Any new units that i get are going to have sound already or I am going to add sound to them. I rather have a small fleet of really nice locomotives vrs a large fleet of low quality locomotives. I have another unit on pre order that I am planning on adding sound to once i get it so that will be a interesting project.
I like what you've done with the scene. I like the way the grain elevator looks. I used to have one of those kits, but I think I broke it before I even had a model train set to service it. I think the new terrain looks good, though it'd look better with some small hills and some yellow grass. I wish I could have one of those gevos, but I don't have the money, so I end up making them out of whatever GE unit I can find.
@mona6302 Thanks. If i had the room i would have added more hills and i will probably add some more color to the scene because it is very green. Whenever i found out a unit i want it coming out i just drop all the projects i have going and start saving for the locomotive so i don't have to buy it off of ebay or something
Hey man it looks great. I know you live in Avon and you are the only other person i know that models in ho scale and i have a few old cars i wanna get rid of for FREE and was wondering if you might want them. just let me know.
yeah i seen the rest of the layout and ow think the rr crossing could located next to the mountain sene and directly across from the yard
